The entry-level replacement line in the AGS brake line category is still an excellent choice for aftermarket fluid transfer line repair and replacement. The steel
lines and tubing are constructed with safety and longevity in mind. The tubing is produced by wrapping copper-coated steel around itself twice to form the
tubing. This double-wall tube is what provides the strength and structural integrity to withstand the extreme pressures required, yet still remain pliable
enough to be formed and bent to the shapes required to be routed beneath the vehicle. The finished tube is fused and zinc-coated to provide excellent rust
and corrosion resistance as well.

MECHANICAL FUEL PUMPS
CARTER mechanical fuel pumps are available for most passenger cars, trucks, marine
and industrial engines. Many of these pumps were original equipment; others are
built to meet or exceed OE requirements.
Die-cast aluminum pumps are some of the oldest and more durable pumps that
CARTER offer. Many OE applications are still offered for domestic, marine and industrial applications.
CARTER stamped steel valve chamber pump incorporates a large diameter diaphragm
for high capacity and good vapor handling characteristics. Its innovative design was
used as original equipment by domestic automobile manufacturers.
CARTER super mechanical pumps contain heavy-duty diaphragms, high speed “antifloat” springs, large “full flow” valves, lightweight all-aluminum castings and a tough,

ELECTRICAL FUEL PUMPS
CARTER in-line universal electric fuel pumps are suitable for many domestic and
imported passenger cars, trucks, marine and industrial engines. These pumps come in
a variety of configurations, depending on need.
Rotary vane was originally created for military use, this design has been in production
longer than any other Carter model. Rotating vanes driven by a heavy-duty wet
motor deliver pressure from 4 to 18 psi at a flow rate of up to 100 gallons per hour.
This provides excellent lift and prime capability. The pump is available in 6-, 12- and
24-volt versions. It is appropriate for RV, marine, agricultural, industrial and
performance applications.
Carter Carotor universal pump applications range from carburetor to TBI & MFI
systems. They are also used in many OE-type hanger and module assemblies. The
gerotor is unquestionably the most versatile pump design today. It utilizes a unique
gear and rotor eccentric mechanism that squeezes the fuel within the pump to create
high pressure with very little pulsation. Compact, lightweight and fuel-cooled, it is a
current favorite of many OE manufacturers. EFI marine manufacturers are also
installing these robust gerotors to meet their fuel delivery demands.
Solenoid pumps, the most widely used universal type, are designed to fit many
universal applications. They’re available in many different pressure ranges and for
use in 12-volt, 24-volt and, soon, 6-volt applications. Rather than a motor, the
solenoid pump uses a piston actuated by an electromagnetic coil to generate fuel
pressure and flow. By using only short pulses of electricity, the solenoid pump is very
energy-efficient. It is also long-lasting, with no internal rubber parts or bellows to
wear out.

FUEL Caps
Stant caps, made of sturdy and long-life materials, are the only aftermarket caps to include all safety features and valving of the original equipment caps.

OE Pressure relief prevents fuel vapors from exiting the fuel system under normal operating
conditions. This allows an escape path for pressure in the event of an impact situation where
the fuel tank has collapsed. It also permits pressure to escape if the vapor management system
malfunctions.

A “Lost Motion” feature permits the cap handle some freedom to turn while maintaining a seal,
which could aid in the prevention of fuel tank leakage during a crash or impact.

A ”Torque Override” feature aids in the proper installation of the fuel cap. It produces an audible click as the o-ring that seals the cap is properly
compressed.
