This team building event was organized by the PRO Sindy Sibiya and the
Pharmacist Khethiwe Khumalo to revive team spirit amongst the employees.
It took place on the 09th August 2006 at the hospital playgrounds. The participants included all departmental heads and staff members. Games that
were played on the day included soccer match between Kangols and Beijing
FC, Eating competition, Netball, Three tins. After the events staff had a
braai and they enjoyed themselves.

t was just a normal working and the only difference was that nurses were not in their uniforms.
Why? It was spring day 01 September 2006. Public relations department decided to add flavour
by having a lunch hour activity where staff gathered outside OPD to select the best dressed and
best dancer. Participants were wearing funny clothes and dancing. Events like this assist to alleviate
work stress and promote working relationship between staff and supervisors.

n the 14 November 2006,
children from Church of Scotland
Paediatric Ward received toys donated by the South African Redcross and
East Coast Radio. Children were very delighted to receive these gifts as they show
that there are people who care for them.
This ward accommodates more than 70 children including those who were abandoned by
their parents at birth.
The Public Relations Officer, Sindy Sibiya delivered them to the ward with the help of
ward supervisors.
