to UC Riverside. Here are a few tips to
help you get the most out of your day!
1. P LAN YOUR DAY NOW. Before you get started, review
the agenda and plan out your day. We have a lot going
on! Try to attend the sessions that are of the most
interest to you.
2. D ON’T BE SHY! Members of our faculty, staff, and
administration are here on a Saturday for one reason
and one reason only: to talk to you and to answer your
questions. So don’t be shy. Ask us anything you like.
3. LISTEN CLOSELY! If you are shy and you’re anxious about
asking questions, listen closely! Chances are someone
else will ask the very question you were wondering about.
4. TAKE A TOUR! There’s no better way to see our campus than with
one of our student-led campus tours or enjoy a housing tour.
5. S TUDENT SERVICES. Our Student Services Building is open all
day to help you with questions or issues regarding Admissions
or Financial Aid. This is your chance to stop in and meet with
one of our knowledgeable staff members face-to-face.
6. G O SHOPPING! The UCR Bookstore is open 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.,
and there’s nothing like a new t-shirt or hoodie to make you
feel like a Highlander!

championships along with scores of conference titles.
Come hear why more than 300 students represent UCR
in athletics annually. UCR competes at NCAA Division
1 level – the highest level of intercollegiate athletics
competition in the nation. UCR is also a member of the
Big West Conference, which is the strongest non-football
conference in the NCAA.

Highlander Day is an open house and
tour event designed to introduce you
to UC Riverside. Here are a few tips to
help you get the most out of your day!
1. P LAN YOUR DAY NOW. Before you get started, review
the agenda and plan out your day. We have a lot going
on! Try to attend the sessions that are of the most
interest to you.
2. D ON’T BE SHY! Members of our faculty, staff, and
administration are here on a Saturday for one reason
and one reason only: to talk to you and to answer your
questions. So don’t be shy. Ask us anything you like.
3. LISTEN CLOSELY! If you are shy and you’re anxious about
asking questions, listen closely! Chances are someone
else will ask the very question you were wondering about.
4. TAKE A TOUR! There’s no better way to see our campus than with
one of our student-led campus tours or enjoy a housing tour.
5. S TUDENT SERVICES. Our Student Services Building is open all
day to help you with questions or issues regarding Admissions
or Financial Aid. This is your chance to stop in and meet with
one of our knowledgeable staff members face-to-face.
6. G O SHOPPING! The UCR Bookstore is open 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.,
and there’s nothing like a new t-shirt or hoodie to make you
feel like a Highlander!

The College of Arts, Humanities, and Social
Sciences invites you to explore their many majors
and departments at our Expo. Academic advisors,
faculty, and students will share information about

of the college. The staff and students from CHASS
F1RST, our First Year Programs office, will take
questions about the transition to a research
institution and share the courses and learning
communities that we offer.
