First Reading: Isaiah 49:14-15
The city of Zion laments that God has forsaken it.
God replies that a mother would not forget her
baby. Yet even if she did forget, “I will never forget
you.”
Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 4:1-5
Paul describes himself as a servant of Christ. He
explains that the opinions of other people are unimportant to him. God is the only one worthy to judge
us. When God returns, he will praise those who deserve it.

There will be a Prayer Service of Remembrance for all
Parishioners who have lost a loved one on March 2nd at 3:30
pm in the Church. One does not need to be a member of the
Bereavement Group to benefit from the prayers of this
service. Fr. Stefan will be guiding us all on a spiritual path as
we prepare to gather strength to enter into the Lenten
Season. Following all of this will be a light reception in the Fr. McGivney room.

The Sacrament of Confirmation for Adults
Those Catholic’s who are high school age or adults wishing to be confirmed,
please contact the CCD office at 703-378-9143 as soon as possible. There will
be four mandatory confirmation classes in May to prepare for the sacrament.
Dates of classes are Wednesday May 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th at 7:00 p.m. at
St. Timothy School in the Music Room. The Adult confirmation ceremonies
will be on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. and on Pentecost Sunday, June 8,
2014 at 2:30 p.m. Forms and attachments are required to be turned in to
the Parish Office no later than Wednesday, April 23, 2014 to be eligible to
receive the sacrament at the Cathedral.
Manor Care Nursing Home Coordinator Needed!
The Nursing Care Outreach Ministry is in need of a parishioner to become the primary point of
contact for this ministry. The mission of the ministry is to enhance the spiritual, educational
and social life of the residents at Manor Care Health Center and Arden Courts Alzheimer’s Assisted Living facility, both located within the parish. The ministry operates with a coordinator
for each of these facilities. The point of contact also serves as the coordinator of the Manor
Care activities. The primary activities are the weekly recitation of the Rosary, the first Friday
Mass, one-on-one visits, and social gatherings. Qualifications: a love of interacting with the
elderly and a desire to strengthen ones faith through the motto of the ministry, “Amen, I say to
you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40). Leadership experience helpful
