8. Place the bag front and bag back, right sides together, sew
the two pieces together along one long side (Fig. 5) Open the
two halves flat, wrong side up. Fold down the top edge a ¼”

Bag and Pillow Assembly
Refer to the Bag or Pillow Photo while assembling.
Fig. 5
To make the Pillow:
5. Place the pillow top on top of the 14 ½” x 20 ½”
Fabric G strip, right sides together, and sew around the four
sides, leaving an opening for turning and stuffing. Turn the
pillow right side out and stuff. Stitch the opening close.
To make the Bag:
6. To make the drawstring, fold in each short end a ¼” and
press in place. Fold one 1" x WOF strip in half lengthwise
and press. Open the folded fabric and fold each long edge to
the creased centerline and press.
7. Fold the pressed fabric in half again and press to make
one ¼” x WOF strip. Top stitch down both long sides ⅛” in
from the edge.
Wrong Side
Fig. 6
9. Fold the bag halves together right side together and sew
across the bottom and up the second long side stopping at the
bottom of the drawstring channel. Tuck in the raw edges into
the drawstring channel and hand stitch in place.
10. Pin a safety pin to the end of the drawstring to help feed
the draw string through channel. Once the drawstring is
through the channel tie the two ends together to keep it from
pulling through to finish the bag.
