Design: Texas A&M University Diversity Plaza
Project
Design of a plaza on Texas A&M’s campus. Project intended for exploration of inventory and analysis procedure. The base map was rendered using
SketchUp 6 Pro.
Features
Using the data from the inventory and analysis two main pedestrian
paths were needed for traveling through the site. Another path was needed
to connect the primary aligned building entrances. Planters and sub plazas
provide rooms for lounging, gathering, and studying. Planters provide plants
for shade and serve as extra seating.

Spring 2006
Project
Studio project exploring color theory and color techniques to render
drawings. This project was a black and white print on coated paper. Chartpak
ad markers and a white color pencil were used to render.
Features
Light green was used as the overall predominant color to represent grass.
Tall trees were rendered in a dark green to provide contrast with the grass.
Yellow trees provide focal contrast and warmth. Accent color of red, blue, and
purple accentuates detail and focal points. Warm earth tones used for the
building and sidewalks soften the hardscapes. The road and parking lot are
left white to draw attention to the brilliant colors.

Website Design: Aggie Workshop 2008
Project
Provide Aggie Workshop 2008 a website. Workshop 2008 is a landscape
architecture student organized and directed conference that has been held annually for the past 36 years. It provides an opportunity for students and professionals to interact on a personal level. Workshop offers a keynote speaker,
lecture series, graphics workshops, and design charettes. The event offers
participants, especially students, an opportunity to hear from nationally acclaimed landscape architects and to discuss the future of our profession. Students will have the chance to share their goals, uncertainties, and questions
about the practice. Professionals will be able to inform the students about the
challenges they will be facing upon graduation. skendall.tamu.edu
