Student Activities Salmon Release Quote of the Day Barber Memorial Park LakeVille Sports With Calvin Our students are very active at LakeVille. And not just with sports! Calvin is in wrestling, baseball, and football. When asked, Cal says he is really thankful that the LV Boosters are purchasing new jerseys and singlets. Cal also appreciates that we have coaches to volunteer and help with good attitudes and that the facilities are sturdy and clean, thanks to the janitors. Calvin is also in the seventh grade band, he is one of two baritones. LakeVille is very thankful to all of the coaches, janitors and everyone who helps make all of the extra activities possible. We also thank all of the students who participate in all of these activities. Several students and their families met at Barber Park in Montrose to release nearly 200 salmon into the Flint River. Each student that attended the event had the opportunity to release a salmon. This is the 8th year for Salmon in the Classroom.
In this class at the middle school, s
tudents find great enjoyment watching and learning the life cycle of a fish as the salmon grow from an egg to a fish that can be released into the wild. Extra Pictures After the salmon release, Mason decided to go fishing. He caught a smallmouth bass. Mason would like to thank Mr. Henley for showing him an awesome fishing spot.
