About Butler
Located in the heart of Indianapolis, Indiana,
Butler University provides a welcoming and
flexible urban setting for conferences and camps
with summertime accommodations on our
campus. We offer a variety of spaces for programs
and events, including large multi-purpose spaces,
conference rooms, lecture halls, and fully
mediated classrooms. The Butler Conferences and
Special Events team will work with you to plan,
customize, and deliver affordable, successful
conferences and camps.
Butler’s 295-acre park-like campus setting is
located in historic Butler-Tarkington
neighborhood. It is approximately five miles from
downtown Indianapolis and only five minutes
from Broad Ripple, a popular section of the city of
Indianapolis. Broad Ripple features boutiques,
cafés, galleries, and a wide array of cuisines. In
addition, Butler is less than 20 miles from the

Summer Conferences
Butler University offers residence hall housing and meeting space to both on- and
off-campus groups for summer conferences and camps from Memorial Day
Weekend through the last full weekend in July.
Summer Conference housing accommodations will be provided in Residential
College Residence Hall (ResCo), an air-conditioned facility, or Schwitzer Residence
Hall, a non-air conditioned facility each located on the Butler Campus. Each facility
has double and single occupancy rooms.

Food Service
Catering
Butler University’s exclusive food service provider is ARAMARK. All food service
arrangements, including dining hall usage must be made through ARAMARK.
Stephanie Haggard, ARAMARK Catering Director, will handle any catering needs or those food

Starbucks is located in Atherton Union next to the Butler University bookstore. You’ll find a
variety of espresso beverages, coffees, hot chocolates and hot teas.

C-Club Food Court is located in the lower level of Atherton Union. Enjoy a wide variety of
delicious food and snacks from a variety of popular stations.
