General Intercessions
That governments may preserve the common good by
upholding God's plan for marriage as the union of one
man and one woman, we pray to the Lord…
Destiny in grade 4 helped her brother when he was sick
Michael in grade 4 prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplet
Avery in grade 5 worked to spend more time in pray during the
week and also wrote Fr Khoi a thank you note for his great Homily
Chabely in grade 10 prayed for her Grandparents' health
Leilani in grade 5 prayed for the rich and the poor
Natalie in grade 9 took care of her sister while her mom worked
Michael in grade 4 prayed the Advent wreath with his parents
Damaris in grade 7 helped his family with the dishes
Miguel in grade 2 helped his mom cook
Kelsie in Kindergarten helped her dad in the yard
Andrew in grade 2 helped his mom bake cookies
JJ in grade 5 is working extra hard to be honest
Emily in grade 2 opened a door for an older person
FORMATION CALENDAR CHANGE
Please note that we will not have class on Wednesday, January 29th
for all grades, PreK-12th grade. The Parish Staff will be attending
the Mass of Ordination and Installation of Bishop-elect Michael F.
Olson that day at 2pm. We encourage those who can go to attend.

Msgr King Memorial Garden
We are adding a screen of four trees to the outside of the garden
fence. They are called Traveller Red Buds and grow to 6 feet
tall, if anyone is interested in donating trees as a memorial they
are $60 each. Please contact Mary Garcia in the office for more

Meals on Wheels is looking for a volunteer to
drive on Thursday mornings. This requires a meal
pick-up at Denton Regional Hospital between
10:15 and 10:30. The route itself takes only
about 30 minutes. If you are interested please

MSGR. KING EMERGENCY SHELTER, WHAT CAN I DO?
Now that the shelter is running, we desperately need supplies for
the winter months. It’s as easy as donating sample size
toiletry items you receive from the dentist, a hotel, or
purchased at a discount store. We also need volunteers.

current Safe Environment certification.
The ICC Initial Training Session will be held in English on
February 8, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon in room #209 of
the school. This course is for those who have never had Safe Environment training in the Diocese of Fort Worth. Please call Terry
Scaggs at least 2 days in advance of the session to register
(information below). Nursery will be provided on request.

ICCS Spaghetti Supper and Open House
The Immaculate Conception Catholic School will have a spaghetti
supper on Open House night in conjunction with the Knights of Columbus
on Friday, January 24th in the gym
from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. All proceeds
will benefit the school. Tickets are

ORDINATION OF OUR NEW BISHOP!
We invite you to ride with us on a charter bus that we have reserved
to take all of those interested in attending the ordination of Bishop elect Rev. Msgr. Michael Olson in Fort Worth.
The bus will leave the Immaculate Conception parking lot at Noon on
January 29, 2014 to take us to the Tarrant County Convention
Center. We will be there in plenty of time to get
good seats. There will be a reception with light food
served immediately following the ordination. The
price per person for the 56-passenger bus will be
$15.50. The bus will bring us back to Immaculate
Conception at 7:00pm that evening.

As the prophet Isaiah proclaims in the first reading, the
Lord continues to remind us that we are his servants. Imagine the Lord speaking these words to you personally:
“You are my servant. Through you I show my glory. I
formed you as my servant from your mother’s womb. I
will make you a light so that you may shine the light of
my salvation everywhere you go, and reveal my glory to
everyone you encounter. I will give you the strength to do
this. I will give you confidence. Heed my words, for I have
spoken to you.” What would your response be to the
Lord? Would it be different from the response you give
the Lord now?
Por favor considere elegir la Parroquia Inmaculada Concepción
para sus contribuciones caritativas para el fin de año. Hemos
estado trabajando duro durante todo el año para reducir la deuda
y cumplir con las obligaciones. Somos capaces de hacer esto a
través de su apoyo continuo.
Desde febrero, hemos estado haciendo una segunda colecta para
pagar el préstamo restantes para el edificio de educación de la
parroquia y escuela. A partir del 30 de septiembre de 2013 el
saldo del préstamo fue de $1,583,120.00. Hemos recogido y pagó
$130,500 en los 8 meses desde que esta colecta fue designada a
ese préstamo. Esto es un promedio de $16,300 por mes. Gracias
por su continua generosidad en el trabajo para lograr nuestro
objetivo de saldar la deuda.
Las colectas de domingos y días de obligación, que se utilizan para
pagar los gastos diarios, tenemos un déficit de $18,552.76 a partir
de Diciembre 1, 2013.
Como lo anuncia el Profeta Isaías en la primera lectura, el
Señor continúa recordándonos que somos sus servidores.
Imagine al Señor diciéndole a usted estas palabras
personalmente: “Tú eres mi servidor. A través de ti yo muestro mi gloria. Yo te formé como mi servidor desde el vientre
de tu madre. Yo haré de ti una luz para que puedas hacer
brillar la luz de mi salvación donde quiera que vayas, y reveles mi gloria a todo aquel a quien encuentres. Yo te daré la
fortaleza para hacer esto. Yo te daré la confianza. Atiende a
mis palabras, porque a ti las he dicho.” ¿Cuál sería su respuesta al Señor? ¿Sería diferente de la respuesta que usted
le daría al Señor ahora?

Fe, Comida y Compañerismo
El próximo evento de Fe, Comida y Compañerismo se acerca! El domingo, 26 de
enero podrá disfrutar de un desayuno de
panqueques de los Caballeros de Colón
(fondos recaudado beneficiará al ministerio
de los Ángeles), habrá postres de venta y
artículos de venta. Los miembros del Stewardship Council estará presente para hacer las inscripciones para los interesados en
los ministerios de nuestra parroquia.
El ministerio de Vía Crucis estará vendiendo comida de
las 11:00 am hasta las 2:00 pm para su ministerio.
Favor de pasar por el gimnasio para mostrar su apoyo y convivir con sus amigos después de Misa los domingos y durante
todo el día hasta las 2 :00 pm. Los dos próximos eventos se
celebraran el 23 de febrero y el 23 de marzo.
