SY4157 Canola Seed
TECHNICAL BULLETIN
SY4157 is an elite canola hybrid with excellent agronomics including top-end yield
potential.
SY4157 is an elite high-yielding variety that has been selected through a proprietary testing
process. SY4157 is a mid to long season hybrid variety that offers increased yield potential,
industry-leading blackleg resistance and gives growers flexibility in timing of swathing and
harvest.
Performance:
SY4157 has demonstrated early vigor and stand establishment which covers the ground quickly
to better handle flea beetle pressure and moisture stress. It has multi-gene blackleg resistance
and shows great standability for excellent harvestability.

The complete Syngenta canola portfolio.
The Syngenta canola story includes a full portfolio of seed care and crop protection products that will help you grow the best crop
throughout the growing season. When included as part of the SY4157 blueprint, the combination of Seedcare™, insecticides and
fungicides will help to deliver a high return on investment. We want to provide you with technology to support increased production and
revenue potential. Below is a list of products we recommend to get the results you expect.
Visivio™ seed treatment
is formulated with six
powerful active ingredients,
counteracts early-season
canola threats from insects
including both striped and
crucifer flea beetles along
with a broad-range of seed
and soil borne diseases.
Visivio gives enhanced
early-season protection, and
helps to potentially avoid
spraying during a very busy
time of seeding.
Cutworm can devastate a
canola crop. The pest will cut
seedlings off at the soil surface,
or just below. Manage cutworm
early in the season with an
application of Fortenza® seed
treatment, available with Visivio.
Quilt® fungicide provides
growers with another option
to control virulent blackleg
infections in their canola crops.
By combining two robust
fungicides in a convenient
premix, Quilt protects the plant
as it grows, boosting yield and
quality.
Protect your canola crops from insect damage that
can rob you of yield and quality. With contact and
residual activity on a spectrum of insects, your
canola fields are safe with Matador® insecticide.
“The Syngenta canola portfolio has been very beneficial for us to use and we plan to stick with this system on our farm... it all just works.”
