TCB’s Bursary Programme 2013
The Tasek Corporation Berhad (TCB)
Bursary Programme, was introduced in
November 2011 with the objective of
providing financial assistance to selected
primary school students. As a corporate
organisation, we believe education is
important in creating a progressive,
knowledgeable and educated workforce for
the future.
In early March 2013, TCB visited Sekolah
Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Chung Tack,
Sekolah Kebangsaan Tasek and Sekolah
Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil Kg Simee for the
first Bursary disbursement for year 2013.
Since the launch of the programme, TCB
has received positive feedback from
teachers from all three schools. Students
also showed their gratitude for the financial
assistance given.
TCB’s Undergraduate Scholarship
Programme
TCB is offering scholarships to students from lower
income families who achieved good academic
performance for full-time undergraduate engineering
courses.
Apart from providing students with opportunities to
further their studies with the scholarships, TCB will be
building a pool of young graduates and engineers
readily available for employment in the near future. The
programme is also opened to application from children
of TCB’s employees.

Contribution of Wheelchairs to Malaysia
Association Help for the poor terminally
ill, Gombak Kuala Lumpur
On 25th May 2013, TCB contributed 2 units of
semi-automatic wheelchairs to Malaysia Association
Help for the Poor Terminally Ill located in Gombak,
Kuala Lumpur. This Association plays an important
role in providing aid for terminally ill and needy
patients who have been referred by the medical
Social Welfare Department at hospitals.

1st May 2013 Labour Day Charity Visit
TCB continues to bring cheer and joy to the less
fortunate during Labour Day. Management
together with TCB’s Union Committee team
made visits to charity organisations aimed at
fostering closer ties between TCB and the
community.
This year, the team visited Sekolah Semangat
Maju Kg Tawas Tasek, Rumah Anak-Anak
Yatim
Tambun, Good Shepherd Family Home
Silibin and Rumah Sejahtera Jelapang. The
homes received donation in the form of food and
daily essential items.

Contribution
of
Stone
Benches & Wheelchairs to
Sultan Azlan Shah Airport
(Ipoh Airport)
In April 2013, TCB contributed new
benches and wheelchairs to the newly
renovated Sultan Azlan Shah Airport
(Ipoh Airport).
The contribution
comprises 14 units of U-shape stone
benches and 6 units of back-rest stone
benches for users at the Ipoh Airport.
In addition, TCB also contributed 2
units of wheelchairs to the Ipoh Airport
for passengers that require them.

YEC - CR Program 2013
In October 2013, 24 Young Executives Council (YEC)
members from Tasek Corporation Berhad (TCB) visited
Rumah Seri Kenangan Cheng in Malacca as part of
YEC’s corporate responsibility initiatives.
The YEC members contributed not only monetary value,
but also their time and open-heartedness to residents of
Rumah Seri Kenangan Cheng.

awareness with the benefits derived from
this annual blood donation drive. The
annual campaign was organized by
Safety, Health and Environment
department with cooperation from
Permaisuri Bainun General Hospital, Ipoh
in December 2013.
