HEALTHY FORESTS MEAN SUSTAINABLE
WATER SUPPLY FOR THE VALLEY
if you need help setting up
your text alerts.
The water in SRP’s system starts as snow that falls in northern and eastern Arizona
forests, so maintaining healthy conditions in these forests is vital to our shared water
supply. To improve the health of our forests, SRP helped create the Northern Arizona
Forest Fund, which makes it possible for a variety of partners to invest in forest and
watershed projects. Activities include planting in areas devastated by fire and
managing areas that are overgrown. SRP also convenes groups of scientists,
government leaders and researchers in an effort to better understand how to enrich
these vital resources.
Help us improve
the sustainability
of the Valley’s
water supply.
