Welcome
After
everyone
has
been
transferred to the hotel we will
go into Tarragona and start to
explore everything it has to
offer.
We will go through the
Old Town to get our bearings
and have a look at some of the
bars
and
restaurants
tucked
away in the narrow medieval
streets. Places to have dinner or
a
drink
and
enjoy
the
atmosphere of Tarragona’s most
vibrant quarter.
Day 01

Today
we
will
continue
discovery
tour
Medieval
and
of
our
Roman,
Modernist
Tarragona. The city is a marvel of
ancient and modern history and as
such has been granted world
heritage status by UNESCO.
In the afternoon we will continue
on our tour and as evening falls we
will meet up to sample the local
gastronomic delights along with
wines
from
denomination.

Day 02

Discover Tarragona 2016
Today we discover one of the best
preserved ancient aquaducts in
Europe. The Devil’s Bridge was
built in 1st century AD by Emperor
Augustus inorder to supply the city
with water.
Afterwards we will go to the old
fishing quarter of Serrallo where
it’s
vermouth
time,
a
local
institution!
Before dinner we will take you to
watch one of the City´s “Human
Towers” training sessions. This is a
sport unique to this region and it
has been given World Heritage
status. It is truly spectacular.
Day 03

The Delta del Ebro is not only
Catalunya´s biggest nature reserve
and wetland, but one of the most
significant in Western Europe.
With an area spanning more than 7
hectares we will visit the lagoons,
the Fangar Peninsula, the Isle of
Buda, the extensive rice fields and
the long deserted beaches.
Day 04

This is a free day in Barcelona to
discover the ancient Gothic City,
the Cathedral, the enchanting Parc
Guell, the Sagrada Familia and the
Paseo de Gracia where you will
find
the
main
examples
of
modernist architecture for which
the city is so famous.
Day 05

Discover Tarragona 2016
Today we will discover the wines of
the Tarragona denomination and
head to the Mas Vicens winery for
oenological fun and a walk through
their vineyards.
We will have a tour of the winery
itself and not only a wine tasting
but also a tasting of their own olive
oils.
Day 06
Cultural holiday
Discover Tarragona 2016
This is the final day of the holiday. We´ll
have a walk along Playa Larga beach
and through the Marquesa wood. If
anyone fancies it you can have a go at
Windsurfing or take a Kayac or small
Catalan sailing boat out.
In the evening we will meet for dinner
where
you
will
experience
authentic roman cooking.
