Letter from the Director of
the Career Management Center
There is no doubt that 2011 for Europe has been a year of economic difficulties. In this
environment, it is vital that those joining your organizations are able to demonstrate
leadership skills of resilience, creativity and communication – skills that The Lisbon MBA
students develop through our innovative Friday Forums. These personal skills, coupled
with the students’ work experience and analytical approach enable them to add value to
business.
The participants of The Lisbon MBA International in collaboration with MIT are positioned
to help your company achieve your goals. With new courses of “Doing Business in
an International Context” and partnerships with universities in Shanghai, China and
São Paulo, Brazil, this class has benefited from an expanded international outlook on
business. This year we saw both the US and the Eurozone severely challenged, and the
world’s top global companies suffering serious threats. This has led our participants to
think deeply on sustainability and innovation– of products, service, culture and brand to
ensure business survival and adaptation.
They also completed the Summer Internship Program and put their new learning into
practice – to the satisfaction of the hiring company! The success of our Internship
Program ensures that our participants are prepared to become part of your company
and make a positive impact. We encourage your organization to meet our participants
and see how they might fit your current and future needs.
For more detailed information about individual profiles, please contact me directly.
Kind regards,
Monica Piercy
