Issue XV, January/February 2011
A Message from Trish Walden,
Vice President of Central Connecticut Senior Health Services
Dear Friends,
I am pleased to announce that Ron Bucci has accepted the role of executive director at Southington Care
Center and will officially begin with us on Monday January 3, 2011. Ron has 12 years of experience as an
administrator and has also served in his prior career as a registered
dietician and as a head of maintenance, housekeeping and laundry
services.
Ron is coming to us from Bishop Wicke Health Care Center
in Shelton, Connecticut where he has been for over five years.
Bishop Wicke is the first Planetree Continuing Care Community
in the United States. Wicke is very similar to Southington Care
Center in that they are a non-profit mission-driven organization
that specializes in short-term rehabilitation and long term care.
Ron is very familiar with the Planetree philosophy and he fully
understands the importance of mission, vision and values being
practiced on a day to day basis. Ron lives in Trumbull with his wife
Alicia who is a physical therapist, his 11 year old daughter Olivia
and his 9 year old son Ben.

holiday party.
Thank you again for all of your support and assistance during this
time of transition. You are an awesome team and I think Ron will
be a great addition!
All best wishes,
Trish Walden
