Rocking Oven Machines
Rotomachines Rocking Ovens are a new addition to our range
of rotational moulding machines and can be manufactured to
customers size and specification. Rocking Ovens are an
extremely versatile and cost effective way of moulding large
products and will take up very little floor space compared to
other machines.

The Roto Machines control system
is one of the most advanced
systems available, featuring a fully
integrated modular system with
improved operator control and
facilities. It is easier to use, service
and maintain and allows for future

All the panels are mounted and
factory wired to motors and
instrumentation with plug and
socket wiring to the main control
panel for quick, easy assembly at
the customer’s factory.

Mitsubishi Q series PLC and
operator touchscreen it provides
a very robust reliable operating
platform. There is no PC, no crashes,
no re-boots, just industrial PLC
process control reliability.
The system is designed as a
modular construction with plug
and socket wiring.
Communication is controlled by a
network BUS system significantly
reducing slip rings and wiring but
greatly improving the control
functionality. So all our control is via
a single 3 core cable – providing a
simple control solution with easy
fault finding & diagnostics.

Rotomech Engineering Ltd are specialist
engineers to the Rotational Moulding
Industry, with over 40 years experience we
offer a comprehensive service to meet all
Rotational Moulding requirements.
At Rotomech Engineering we acknowledge that loss
of manufacturing through machine breakdowns can
be extremely costly in lost production and to
moulders who operate a just in time system to their
customers. We offer a machine breakdown service
to keep downtime to a minimum and enable
continued smooth running of the machinery, to
back this up Rotomech service all types and makes
of machines from a one off service to a full annual
planned maintenance schedule. After each service
Rotomech supply a complete report sheet
highlighting all faults from minor to major problems
with advisory notes and recommend any action to
be taken.
Rotomech have an experienced and skilled team of
engineers with the expertise and knowledge to
manufacture bespoke parts, from new drop arms,
straight arms and conversions of straight to drop
arms. Complete new ovens, cooling bays, carriages,
operator platforms safety gates and associated
equipment. We can also resite machines within
factories or relocate machines to new premises
and would project manage this to enable the
customer to concentrate on daily business. We are
proud in our machinery relocations and have
undertaken projects which have taken from one
week to a year start to finish.
Rotomech Engineering has a mould tool making
department in which we can design and draft a
concept drawing for any size or specification of
sheet steel tooling including any engravings or
inserts required. We can also supply the tooling
mounted ready for production and any cooling jigs /

Materials Handling Systems for Rotational Moulding
STB Engineering Ltd are manufacturers of pneumatic conveying and bulk
materials handling systems with 40 years experience in materials handling
to the Plastics and Rotational Moulding Industries. We offer a specialist
materials handling system for accurately dispensing weighed amounts of
polymers into the actual mould prior to it entering the oven for processing.
An STB handling and dosing system can give significant benefits in factory
performance through increased production; reduction in material costs,
greater quality control, data logging and reduced labour & operating costs.
These systems alleviate the need for manual handling of material laden
drums to the oven area for manual tipping into the mould.
Materials are pneumatically conveyed from storage silos, FIBC stations,
pulverising system etc, to a weigh hopper which is located adjacent to the
oven moulding process. The weigh hopper provides an accurate ‘Loss-inWeight’ feed system into the mould via a specially designed STB swivel
screw assembly. An advanced control system allows the operator to select
the mould charge by weight or by selecting a recipe pre-stored in the
control system.
