FROM QAF’S PRESIDENT
Dear Valued Customer,
At the top of our holiday list this year
is to start the season celebrating
you. At this time of year, I
would like to thank you for
your continued support and
air express business.
Without you, none of our
growth - which saw us
moving into our new facility
near the Milwaukee airport would have been possible.
All of this growth serves one purpose—
to build an even stronger partnership
with you. We want you to know that
you can count on us to be ready to do
whatever it takes to help you achieve
your business goals this year, next
year, and in the future.

We are thankful for your business and
friendship; and for your trust and
confidence. Thanks to your continued
support, we have been able to
expand our capabilities,
which means in the coming
year we will be able to
offer you even more
service, more equipment
and more value.
We wish all of you the very
best for the coming holiday
season as well as a happy,
healthy and prosperous New Year.

QAF EARNS
Quality Air Forwarding, Inc. has
recently undertaken the challenge of its
first ISO 9000 re-certification audit.
This procedure is conducted annually
to insure that all ISO certified companies are following policies and procedures set forth by the ISO standard.
An outside contracted auditor always
conducts this audit. This year, our
audit was performed by Mr. Gareth
Gillett and was assisted by QAF’s
consultant, Mr. Edward Dekkers from
Albion International’s New York office.
The audit itself spanned a two-day
period and required that all aspects of
Quality Air Forwarding be evaluated.

WHAT HOLIDAY SHUT-DOWN?
QAF IS ALWAYS OPEN FOR BUSINESS!
Just a reminder that QAF will certainly be
available to assist any customer with any
service needs throughout the upcoming
holiday season. In fact, we are reminded
that less than 30 days after opening its
doors many years ago, President Jim
Cyganiak was heading for Christmas Eve
services and was diverted to the office to
help a customer in need (actually, in a
panic) who said NO ONE else in town was
open! And thus, our reputation of excellent
service, any day and any time, began. In
addition, we will keep you advised of
unusual holiday-related schedules that may
impact your shipping circumstances. For
example, does everyone remember that
December 26th is Boxing Day? Boxing Day
is a National Holiday in Canada and
almost all customs offices are shut down.
Odd to us here in the United States, but not
to your customers in Canada!
RECERTIFICATION
This included everything from our
accounting and billing departments to
our shipping, receiving and warehousing procedures. However, the primary
focus was on maintaining consistent
high standards within the shipment
operations area. Each employee was
then individually evaluated based on
his/her job description and areas of
expertise.Upon completion of the
auditor’s studies, he then compiled his
findings and presented the report to
QAF President Jim Cyganiak, Vice
President Karen Cyganiak and General
Manager Jason Martin.
It is with great pride and pleasure to
announce that Quality Air Forwarding
has again accomplished ISO 9002
quality standards and has received
2000-2001 certification. We are all
proud and have worked very hard to
have met the ISO standards and we
hope our pride shows in our daily
work with each of you. We will
continue working with our ongoing
goal of 100% customer satisfaction
always in our minds and always
remembering that this is the type of
effort you trust us to put forth.
Thank you for your ongoing support of
Quality Air Forwarding, Inc.!

CHANGES, CHANCES AND CHALLENGES
YEAR 2000 TRANSPORTATION
SUMMARY:
CHANGES, CHANCES
AND CHALLENGES
As the fourth and final quarter
comes to a close for the year 2000, we
are reminded of the many challenges
placed upon the transportation industry
over the past year. One of the primary
transportation issues that has occurred
is the tremendous rise in fuel costs. As
a result of these huge increases, most
carriers felt forced to add a fuel
surcharge to their bottom-line invoices
sent to all of us. However, at the same
time, a robust economy has thrust these
same companies into periods of
excellent growth.
As stated in our earlier
newsletter, Quality Air Forwarding has
NOT imposed a fuel surcharge and will
continue to fight this trend with every
ounce of our business being. We have
worked very hard behind the scenes to
reduce costs in other business areas
and to maintain a strong and profitable
business status through our continued
growth. We have been successful with
this approach and we will continue to
maintain this approach as long as possible throughout these challenging
times.
With the latter in mind, we
should be reminded that the last month
of each year is traditionally one of the
busiest in our industry and carrier
space availability tends to tighten as
shipment volume rises. Quality Air

Congratulating Jim Wenzlaff
on his recent promotion to
Quality Manager of QAF. Since Jim
joined us just 12 months ago, he has
proven himself to be a responsible and
devoted leader in our Operations
Department. Following the hard work
he put in along with the training he
received during last summer’s ISO
re-certification, Jim deserves this official
vote of personal confidence. The next
time you call QAF, take note of his
personable and professional manner
and you too will undoubtedly be
impressed. Thanks again, “Big Jim”!
We appreciate all of your efforts—
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!
She’s Baaaaack……
The QAF back office is once
again “buzzing with lively
conversations” now that
Tammy Regner has re-joined our staff
as statewide sales manager. Tammy
says she is THRILLED to be back
working at QAF and has jumped back
into the end-of-the-year craziness with
both feet. Always one to be constantly
on the move, you can look to see her
(hear her?!?) working from Walworth
County to Brown County and anything
in between. Again, please join everyone here at our Boden Street office in
welcoming Tammy’s return to head up
QAF’s sales efforts.
Forwarding stands ready to be “put to
the test” and offer our ongoing
commitment to provide the best and
most personalized service available.
With a total of over 100 years
of experience, our dedicated staff will
continue to provide a true hands-on
approach in handling our customer’s
air express and expedited ground
transportation requirements.
In summary, onward we all
move to the year 2001 and all of the
challenges and changes that lie ahead.
As we are so often reminded as we
study transportation trends since the
1980’s de-regulation of our industry:
“The only constant we can truly count
on is change itself”.

AIRLINE NEWS
Midwest Express Names
Kansas City as Third
Base of Operations
At an October 13th news conference,
Midwest Express announced that it has
named Kansas City, Missouri as its
third base of operations to support
both their Milwaukee, Wisconsin
headquarters and its second operational hub in Omaha, Nebraska. This
announcement means that the airline
will continue to expand its nonstop jet
service from Kansas City and develop
a regional air service on their Skyway
Airlines subsidiary.
“We expect steady growth in the
coming years,” said Timothy
Hoeksema, Midwest Express Chairman
and CEO. “This reflects aZ long-term
commitment to providing Kansas City
travelers with the best care in the air.”
He also added that establishing a base
of operations brings with it a pledge
by the airline to future increases of
employment and become a more
visible presence in the Kansas City
community.
Midwest Express has served Kansas
City since 1989. With these new service announcements, Midwest Express
will combine with Skyway Airlines to
offer 24 departures from Kansas City
each weekday serving 11 destinations
nonstop. Especially important in the
departure schedule are five daily
round-trip flights to both Washington
DC airports. With a constant flow of
very heavy traffic around our nation’s
capitol, Washington National being
four miles south of the city and
Washington Dulles being 25 miles west
of downtown provide vastly improved
coverage for both passengers and
cargo.
Several other announcements were
made by the airline regarding
additional flights and major equipment
upgrades throughout many cities in
their system. The last important
announcement made was with regards
to schedule changes on existing flights.
Specifically, the timing of Midwest
Express and Skyway flights between
Milwaukee and certain East Coast
destinations will be modified to help
improve on-time performance at
congested airports.
Midwest Express, Milwaukee’s
hometown airline, continues to show its
dedication to Wisconsin’s economy
and QAF is proud to be their single
largest cargo partner. Please join us in
continuing to support Midwest as a
very important transportation option in
and out of Southeast Wisconsin.

The 4600 square foot facility was

In addition to allowing visitors to check
in for flights on Midwest Express and
Skyway Airlines, the club offers visitors
Midwest Express frequent flyer membership services and travel assistance.

Kitty Hawk Airlines, the largest non-integrated all-cargo airline in the U.S., has
Guide, November-December 2000
announced their 3rd quarter financial results. For the period ending September 2000,
the company is pleased to announce that the airline has passed “a major milestone” toward re-establishing a bright financial
future. Tilmon J. Reeves, Kitty Hawk President and CEO said, “…the Company has refocused on its core businesses of
scheduled overnight freight service and its 727 air freight charter contracts.” Financial advisors have called the rapid
reorganization extraordinary progress. The advisors based their confidence in Kitty Hawk’s financial future on a pending
major stock distribution to the Company’s principal creditors. Kitty Hawk expects final implementation of their eight-month
financial plan on January 1, 2001. QAF hopes you will join us in continuing to support Kitty Hawk as a reliable heavyweight
cargo airline.
