Local agents
who understand
your community
Century 21 are everything your real
estate should be, and more
Making the choice to sell or buy a
home is just one part of the property
sale process, starting with choosing a
real estate agent. Some people insist
that a local agent is best, others say
the biggest, some choose exclusively
on cost.
But there is one agency in
Muswellbrook that stands alone when it
comes to servicing the local community,
and it’s for an entirely different reason.
Since opening her first real estate
office in Muswellbrook in 2004, sole
director of Century 21 Sharon Jurd Real
Estate, Sharon Jurd, has firmly established
herself as one of Muswellbrook’s leading
agents. As an accredited real estate agent,
stock and station agent, business agent
and accredited auctioneer and winner of
various industry awards - if anyone was
going to improve the local real estate
service to the community, it was going to
be Sharon’s team of professionals.
In this edition of Property News, we
talk to Sharon on how she is providing
clients a much-needed variation of the
industry’s standard ‘open for Inspection’
times.
“As a major mining town with a
surrounding population of 15,500 there
are a lot of shift workers in Muswellbrook
who do find it difficult to conduct
business in their non-working hours,”
says Sharon.
“Most agents hold open for
inspections on a Saturday morning, but
first thing Saturday morning really isn’t at
all convenient for a shift worker, and they
weren’t the only ones who were missing
out. Naturally, the vendors of homes were
also at a huge disadvantage by not being
accessible to a very large part of the
community,” she said.
“Many of our clients have chosen our
services because they’re already timepoor, and so the decision was made to
extend our Open Homes to Saturday and
Wednesday afternoons.”
How does the team attract buyer
interest in a listed property?
Explains Sharon, “At Century 21 we
are constantly striving to provide a better
quality of service for our clients.”
“We begin a targeted marketing
strategy as soon as we receive a listing,
contacting several prospective buyers
from our extensive client database and
cross matching prospective buyers with
suitable properties in our area.” “Our
intensive targeted marketing strategies
and client database system has been
invaluable in matching buyers to
properties as soon as they hit the market,
which is another reason why it made
good sense to offer these groups more
flexibility.”
