Ten thousand years of history in more than 5,000 archeological sites that have resisted the test of time and
whose mysteries are still being unveiled and revealed to the world.
A symphony of sounds, tastes, textures, and colors that can be sensed in 1,300 genres of music, more than
3,000 festivities and over 450 dishes speak volumes of the esquisite cultural diversity that Peru treasures.
NATURALLY SPECTACULAR
Eighty-four of the world’s 117 life zones, eleven ecological regions, 1,800 bird especies, 3,500 varieties of orchids, and a large amount of species of
butterflies, reptiles, and mammals position Peru within the ten most biologically diverse countries in the world.
A COUNTRY FOR ADVENTURE
With 1,769 glaciers and more than fifty mountains that tower over 6,000 meters over sea
level (19,700 feet), close to 3,000 kilometer (1,860 miles) long Pacif coast, and rivers,
lakes and lagoons, beaches, deserts, canyons, and trails that are the backdrop for the most
exciting adventure sports.
