Emer is not only qualified in beauty but also completed courses in Hot Stone Massage and Indian Head massage and offers her customers a range of treatments ranging from Thalgo facials, massage, St Tropez tanning, sunbeds and nail treatments. Emer did a great manicure for me, which lasted an hour. She used Nailtiques products which contain proteins and nail conditioners. After a hand scrub and massage, my hands were put in heated mittens to let the conditioner soak into the skin. The Nailtiques Cuticle and Hand Conditioner not only rehydrates and conditions the hand and cuticle area, but also includes sunscreens which protect against pigmentation marks and age spots. Finally she painted my nails with a vibrant coral OPI polish, a range loved by celebs and Hollywood starlets. Emer and Margaret Hearne, who works with her in the salon, also do great Nailtiques Deluxe pedicures, which are fab for brides as they can last up to one month. If you are not happy with your own nails you can get fitted with Broadway nails which will instantly transform your fingers and even toes. Revival use Thalgo Facials and body treatments. The Thalgo range is based on marine and plant ingredients which are a rich source of trace elements, proteins, amino acids and vitamins. Facials last over an hour and include a cleanse, deep cleanse, exfoliation, mask and massage. You can choose from a range to suit your skin type like the Hydra-Moisture Source which combats dehydration or the BioMarine facial which is good for dry skin. The Collagen Velvet facial is a luxurious treatment for moisture deficiency, fine lines and wrinkles and is a favourite with mothers of the bride. Emer recommends a bride should start having facials about three or four months before her wedding in order to have her skin in top condition. Thalgo Body wraps are great for brides who want to lose a few inches and fight cellulite. The one and a half hour treatment consists of a slimming exfoliation, a draining and toning massage, wrap and application of Thalgomince body cream. The Thalgo Body Polish is an ideal way of preparing the skin for the big day particularly if the bride is choosing a spray tan or having a honeymoon in the sun. The Groom is not forgotten either in Revival and many have taken the opportunity to visit the salon for a relaxing massage, deep cleansing facial or a customised manicure. Emer does great packages which are ideal for brides to be and their bridesmaids. Relax & Revive (€85) consists of a Swedish back massage followed by a Thalgo Prescription Facial along with an eyelash tint or Out on the Town, (€75), where you get a Full Body St Tropez spray tan, a professional make-up application and a clip, file & polish on fingers or toes. Revival also do wedding day make-up for brides and this can be done in the salon or at the bride’s home. In addition to facials, massage, nail treatments and body treatments Revival also offers brides to be and bridal parties a full range of aesthetic requirements including tinting, specialised waxing, electrolysis and spray tanning. Furthermore if you want to get rid of broken facial veins, Emer recommends IPL Laser treatment, in which a laser light is absorbed into blood vessels to break them down. IPL is also used for permanent hair reduction. The salon uses and supplies products from leading manufacturers such as Thalgo, St Tropez, Nailtiques, OPI polishes and Tigi make up.
