Brian K. Stewart, Esq. is a partner at Collins Collins Muir + Stewart, LLP. Mr. Stewart handles
predominantly professional liability matters and represents professionals in all aspects of their
professional practice with an emphasis on design professionals including contract review and
negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and trial. He successfully argued the seminal case in
California upholding contractual limitation of liability in construction contracts. He has also
acted as Amicus counsel for a number of professional associations in the Court of Appeal.
Jim Schwartz is the Focus Group leader for Beazley’s US Architects and Engineers product.
Prior to joining Beazley, Jim was a practicing attorney for 15 years, most recently as a partner
in a Boston based law firm where he specialized in representing architects and engineers in the
context of professional liability claims. Jim is a frequent presenter on A&E professional
liability and risk management issues.
Rob Hughes is a senior vice president and equity partner with Ames & Gough. He has
specialized in the insurance placement, risk management and claims consulting to architects,
engineers, environmental consultants, construction managers and law firms for over 20 years.
Rob is often asked to provide loss control and risk management seminars to clients and industry
associations.
