For this year’s diary we decided to highlight our Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship programme, hence the
front cover which shows some of our current apprentices of whom we are extremely proud. We currently
have 11 apprentices across the following areas: CNC Milling & Turning; Electrical; Assembly; Welding; Laser;
Maintenance; Design; and Business Administration. I am working with SEMTA (the Sector Skills Council for
the Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering sectors) to encourage other businesses throughout the
country to embrace apprenticeships in a wide variety of skills, just as we have been doing for 15 years.
Like all companies we have had a challenging year, but we have been developing the business in many
ways. We have developed a flat management structure in the workshop to encourage more ownership
throughout the business. This means that customers now have direct access to the people that make it
