ComStar Romania srl is the representative in Romania of GuardOne
International SA www.guardoneinternational.com - world-wide GPS technology
provider. GuardOne International SA through its brand GuardOne® is the market
leader by the number of systems sold in the last 10 years since the company begins
to function (around 130,000 active systems).
Our company appeals as much to the car market as it does to the truck
market through a viable offer which consists of providing localization services using
global positioning system through satellite GuardOne® GPS – GSM, as much as
logistic services for managing the fleet through WebTruck® internet application, to
the best quality/price ratio.
At the beginning of 2001 was concluded the licensing contract between
GuardOne® and Data Communications Romania srl – a company that is part of
the ComStar Group of Companies. As a result, Data Communications Romania srl
became the exclusive provider of monitoring services in Romania. ComStar Romania
srl took over the import and distribution activity for professional and commercial
applications of radiolocation systems based on GPS, in Romania and neighborhoods
(Eastern European Countries). The unit to be installed on board of the vehicle is a
GuardOne® trade mark including the best technology man made in this area. The

Offering to our clients innovating technologies, easy to use and at accessible
prices was the strategy used by ComStar group of companies from the very
beginning. In this way, both, the GuardOne® service and WebTruck® service,
work on the same hardware platform and both rely on a mobile unit installed on
your car, with the purpose of monitoring the location in case a predefined event
occurs and status of the car.
Reva Romania srl - the ecoVehicle company - is the newest company of the
group. Promoting unconventional means of transportation Reva Romania srl’ aim is
to become the first seller of electric vehicles and low consumption vehicles. We
indeed become the first company importing an electric car in Romania (being official
representatives of Reva Electric Car Company, India, www.revaindia.com). We are
now in process of establishing a booming business in moto area by selling our brand
scooters called GoPOP!
The ComStar group of companies has now 20 full time employees. We are
using only licensed software applications (LINUX for our server applications, LINUX
and OpenOffice for the office software applications).
The
WebTruck® application
is
running
directly
accesing
Microsoft®
(MapPoint 2004®) map servers and our own map server (for Romania, major cities,
Valea Prahovei and Romanian seaside).
