Bin 50 Shiraz - Eds World Wines
Bin 50 Shiraz
2015
Loved around the world, Lindeman’s Bin Series wines are approachable in style,
consistent in quality with global appeal. Designed to be opened, enjoyed and shared
time and time again, these are wines people simply love to drink.
Lindeman’s most well-known range began with the iconic Lindeman’s Bin 65
Chardonnay, which was first launched in 1985 in response to the popularity of
Lindeman’s approachable and fruit-driven style of wines in the northern hemisphere.
The Bin Series has grown to incorporate 18 popular varieties and blends.
Lindeman’s Bin 50 Shiraz features aromas of vanilla, liquorice, dark berry fruits with a
hint of peppery spice, while the full bodied palate shows blackcurrant, plum and vanilla
flavours supported within a soft tannin structure that makes this wine immediately
approachable.

Vintage Conditions: Following one of the warmest springs on record, with below average
rainfall, vintage commenced slightly later than normal due to cooler December temperatures.
There were a number of rainfall events in the second week of January which resulted in ideal
conditions for botrytis infections. Vigilant spraying, remaining dry conditions and vineyard
fruit inspections, resulted in good quality white and red fruit flavours and outstanding red
colour development. The remaining dry period and relatively cooler summer temperatures,
with less extreme heat periods, provided ideal fruit ripening. The pressure was now on to
harvest the fruit at its optimum maturity. Vintage 2015 will be seen as one of the top wine
quality seasons, with varietal fruit expression and depth of colour in the reds.
