Dear business partners,
dear employees,
das Einsatzgebiet unserer mobilen Räume erweitert
sich stetig. Immer mehr Branchen entdecken die Möglichkeiten temporärer Raumsysteme und unsere Kunden zeigen sich von der Wirtschaftlichkeit, Flexibilität
und Nachhaltigkeit der Module begeistert – etwa das
Technologieunternehmen Bombardier, der Fährhafen
Sassnitz oder die Gemeinde Hövelhof.
The range of areas in which our mobile rooms are used
is continually growing. More and more industries are
discovering the possibilities of temporary room systems. Customers are inspired by the economic efficiency, flexibility and sustainability of our modules – among
them the technology company Bombardier, the Sassnitz
ferry harbour, and the Hövelhof municipality.
Die Kunstaktion „Weltoffenes Dresden“ war eines der
außergewöhnlichen Projekte im vergangenen halben
Jahr. Hierfür stellten wir die Ausstellungsräume bereit,
die über die ganze Stadt verteilt auf Toleranz und Vielfalt in der Gesellschaft aufmerksam machten.
The art campaign „Weltoffenes Dresden“ was one of
the extraordinary projects in the last half year. We provided the exhibition rooms for it, to draw attention to
tolerance and diversity of society distributed across the
entire town.
Kulturelle Vielfalt gehört auch zu unserem Unternehmen. Mit Standorten in ganz Europa zeigt sich ELA
international – und erfolgreich: Der Standort Polen feiert
in diesem Jahr 10-jähriges Jubiläum. Dazu gratulieren
wir ganz herzlich.
Cultural diversity is an important part of our company
as well. ELA is an international company, with sites in
successful operation across Europe: The site in Poland
is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. We offer
our heartfelt congratulations.
Einen weiteren Grund zum Feiern gab es in diesem
Frühjahr an unserem Hauptsitz in Haren (Ems). Hier verabschiedeten wir unseren ersten Mitarbeiter, Hermann
Specken, nach 38 Jahren Betriebszugehörigkeit in den
verdienten Ruhestand.
There was another occasion for celebration at our
headquarter in Haren (Ems) this spring. Our first employee, Hermann Specken, was sent into his well-earned
retirement after 38 years in our company.
Treue und engagierte Mitarbeiter sind die Basis für ein
erfolgreiches Unternehmen - von daher freuen wir uns,
dass die ELA Mannschaft stetig wächst. Mit unseren
rund 500 Mitarbeitern werden wir auch in Zukunft die
Welt der mobilen Räume maßgeblich gestalten und
unseren Service weiter ausbauen.
Loyal and committed employees are the basis for a
successful company. We are happy that the ELA team
keeps on growing. With our roughly 500 employees, we
will continue to essentially design the world of mobile
rooms and extend our services.

Das Kindergartengebäude in der nordrhein-westfälischen Gemeinde Hövelhof wird saniert. Um die Kinderbetreuung auch während der Bauarbeiten sicherzustellen, entschied sich die Gemeinde für eine flexible
Raumlösung von ELA. Für acht Monate sind die ELA
Raummodule nun ein Spiele- und Entdeckungsland für
Kinder.
The day-care building in the North-Rhine-Westphalian
municipality Hövelhof is undergoing renovation. The
municipality chose a flexible room solution by ELA to
ensure child care availability even during construction.
For eight months, the ELA room modules are now a
place for children to play in and explore.
Die 22 kombinierten ELA Einheiten ergeben 400 Quadratmeter Nutzfläche – genug Platz für 40 Kinder zum
Spielen und Lernen. Die Fläche teilt sich auf in zwei
Gruppenräume, einen Bewegungsraum, eine Küche,
Personalraum und Büro. Diese werden ergänzt durch
einen Sanitärteil. Alle Räume sind über Flurmodule miteinander verbunden. Eine Rampe im Eingangsbereich
ermöglicht einen barrierefreien Zugang zum Kindergarten. Elektro-Türöffner und ein Vordach waren ebenfalls
im Lieferumfang enthalten.
Für ein angenehmes Raumklima ist das temporäre
Kindergartengebäude speziell gedämmt sowie mit
isolierverglasten Kunststofffenstern und Rollladen
ausgestattet. Die moderne Einbauküche lieferte ELA
mit integriertem Herd, Backofen, Schränken, Geschirrspüler, Dunstabzugshaube und Kühlschrank. Es wurde
ebenfalls ein Platz für Waschmaschine und Trockner
eingerichtet.

The 22 combined ELA units result in a useful area of
400 square metre – enough space for 40 children to
play and learn in. The area is structured into two group
rooms, a movement room, a kitchen, staff room and office. These rooms are supplemented by a sanitary section. All rooms are connected by hall modules. A ramp
in the entrance area makes the day care accessible.
Electric door openers and an awning were also included in the delivery. To ensure a pleasant room climate,
the temporary day-care building has special insulation as well as insulation-glazed plastic windows and
roller shutters. ELA delivered the state-of-the-art fitted
kitchen with an integrated stove, oven, cabinets, dishwasher, extraction hood and fridge. Space for washing
machines and a dryer was provided as well.
A few days before delivery of the turn-key ELA modules
via special truck, ELA sales manager Simon Harenkamp
met municipal employees on site. „We place a high

Wenige Tage vor Anlieferung der schlüsselfertigen ELA
Module per Spezial-LKW traf sich ELA Außendienstmitarbeiter Simon Harenkamp mit den Mitarbeitern der
Gemeinde vor Ort. „Wir legen großen Wert auf eine persönliche Betreuung unserer Kunden“, so Harenkamp.
„Wir besichtigen gemeinsam mit ihnen den Standort
und können auf dieser Basis ein kundenindividuelles
Angebot erstellen.“
Im Falle des Kindergartens Hövelhof eröffneten sich
wichtige Einsparpotentiale beim Einsatz der einen halben Meter breiteren ELA Premiummodule. „Durch das

und Flexibilität der Raumkonzepte. „Die Modullösungen passen sich den Platzbedürfnissen der Kunden
an - wird mehr Raum für die Kinderbetreuung benötigt,
können wir innerhalb kürzester Zeit die bestehenden
Anlageteile erweitern“, erklärt Albers. „Andersherum ist
auch eine Verkleinerung durch die Demontage einzelner
Raummodule möglich.“ Nach Ablauf des Einsatzes werden die ELA Anlagen vollständig zurückgebaut und die
Fläche in ihren Ausgangszustand versetzt.

In the case of the day care in Hövelhof, important
savings potentials turned up when using the ELA
premium modules, which are half a meter wider than
standard units. „The additional space in these units
enables the customer to save up to 25 percent in
transport, installation and rent,“ Harenkamp explains.
„Temporary room solutions are becoming more and
more attractive to municipalities,“ says ELA manager Günter Albers. Advantages include economic efficiency, sustainability and flexibility of the
room concepts. „The module solutions adjust to
the customers‘ space demands - if more space is
needed for the day care, we can expand the present
facility parts very quickly.“ After the end of their use,
the ELA facilities will be removed completely and
the area will be returned to its original condition.

Der Fährhafen Sassnitz auf Rügen ist ein wichtiger Basishafen für den Aufbau des Windparks Baltic 2 in der
Ostsee. Im Offshore-Terminal Süd bietet die Fährhafen
Sassnitz GmbH den Windparkbauern alle Voraussetzungen zur Umsetzung ihres Projekts. Dazu gehören
auch die Mieträume von ELA Container.
The Sassnitz ferry harbour on the island of Rügen is an
important harbour base for developing the wind park
Baltic 2 in the Baltic Sea. In the offshore terminal south,
Fährhafen Sassnitz GmbH offers all prerequisites for
wind park constructors to implement their project plans.
This includes the rooms rented from ELA Container.
In der ELA Anlage aus 36 Premiummodulen hat sich
zurzeit die Energiesparte eines Technologiekonzerns
eingerichtet. Die 648 Quadratmeter Nutzfläche sind
aufgeteilt in Büro-, Aufenthalts-, Umkleide- und Sanitärbereiche. ELA lieferte die Module komplett ausgestattet
mit Mobiliar, vorinstallierten EDV-Verkabelungen, Klimaanlagen und Sicherheitskomponenten.
At the moment, the energy section of a technology
group has set up camp in the ELA facility of 36 premium
modules. The 684 square metres of useful area is structured into office, common, changing and sanitary areas.
ELA delivered the modules completely equipped with
furnishings, pre-installed EDP wiring, air conditioning
facilities and safety components.

entscheidend – die Stapelbarkeit der Module hilft, auf
begrenzter Fläche mehr Platz zu schaffen“, erklärt ELA
Außendienstmitarbeiter Marc Richter.
For maximum area efficiency, some of the mobile
accommodations have two floors. „Storage area is
essential for harbour bases for wind park projects – the
stackability of the modules helps to create more space
where the available area is limited,“ explains ELA sales
manager Marc Richter.
Harm Sievers, Geschäftsführer der Fährhafen Sassnitz
GmbH, zeigt sich zufrieden mit der Raumlösung von
ELA: „Mit der temporären Anlage können wir unseren
Kunden aus der Energiebranche eine höchst funktionale
Unterkunft als Stützpunkt für ihre Arbeiten bereitstellen.“

Auf den ersten Blick scheinen Raummodule und Basketball wenig miteinander zu tun zu haben. Kürzlich kam im
Rahmen eines IHK-Netzwerktreffens für Pressereferenten
jedoch beides zusammen. Die Veranstaltung fand in der
Premium Lounge des Basketball-Vereins Artland Dragons
statt – bereitgestellt vom Raumspezialisten ELA Container.
Die Firma aus Haren nahm mit Marketingvertreter Michael
Schmidt und Außendienstmitarbeiter Simon Harenkamp am
Treffen teil.
At first glance, room modules and basketball seem
to have little in common. Recently, the two met at
a network meeting of the International Chamber of
Commerce for press contacts, however. The event took
place in the Premium Lounge of the Basketball team
Artland Dragons – provided by room specialist ELA
Container. The company from Haren sent marketing
representative Michael Schmidt and sales manager
Simon Harenkamp to the meeting.
Das Programm des Treffens enthielt neben einem Training
mit Dragons Co-Trainer Martin Schiller und zwei seiner
Spieler auch einen informativen Teil, der in der Premium
Lounge stattfand. Das 150 Quadratmeter große ELA
Raumsystem aus fünf kombinierten, extrabreiten Premiummodulen dient dem Basketballverein als Bar- und Gastrobereich für VIP-Gäste. Mit Wänden und Boden in Anthrazit-Optik und eingerichtet mit Theken-Elementen, Holztischen und modernen Sitzgelegenheiten ist die Lounge im
Inneren kaum von einem konventionell erstellten Festbau
zu unterscheiden. Eine indirekte Beleuchtung an Bar und
Decke sorgt für eine gemütliche Atmosphäre.
The meeting agenda included training with the Dragons‘
co-trainer Martin Schiller and two of his players, as well
as an informative section in the Premium Lounge. The
150 square metre ELA room system of five combined,
extra-wide premium modules is used as a bar and restaurant area for VIP guests of the basketball association. With anthracite-look walls and floors, furnished with
counter elements, wooden tables and modern seats,
the lounge hardly differs from a conventionally constructed facility on the inside. Indirect lighting at the bar
and in the ceiling ensures a comfortable atmosphere.
Dragons-Geschäftsführer Alexander Meilwes zeigte sich
begeistert. Die Modulbauweise sei in seinen Augen sehr
praktisch, da die Räumlichkeiten so je nach Bedarf vergrößert oder verkleinert werden können.

In Hennigsdorf bei Berlin hat ELA Container eine Büroanlage mit 104 Arbeitsplätzen installiert. Ingenieure und
Techniker des Teams ET 430 von Bombardier Transportation entwickeln hier Komponenten für neue Zug-Modelle. Das temporäre Gebäude wird für etwa ein Jahr im
Einsatz sein – solange wird es dauern, bis die Renovierungen im Stammgebäude abgeschlossen sind.
In Hennigsdorf near Berlin, ELA Container has installed
an office facility with 104 workplaces. Engineers and
technicians of Team ET 430 of Bombardier Transportation develop components for new train models here.
The temporary building will be used for about one year
– until the renovations in the main building are complete.
Das ELA-System besteht aus insgesamt 115 ELA Bürocontainern und hat drei Etagen. Zu den Merkmalen
der Anlage gehören innenliegende Flure, Kabelkanäle
für das Datennetzwerk, eine Klimatisierung, Küchen mit
Geschirrspüler, Sanitärräume, Aufenthaltsräume und
Besprechungsräume. Auch Mobiliar wie Schreibtische,
Aktenschränke, Tische und Stühle hat ELA funktionsfertig mitgeliefert.
The ELA system comprises a total of 115 ELA office
containers on three levels. The features of this facility include internal hallways, cable ducts for the data
network, air conditioning, kitchens with dishwashers,
sanitary facilities, common rooms and meeting rooms.
ELA also delivered furnishings with desks, file cabinets,
tables and chairs ready to use.
„Auch das Bombardier-Projekt hat von unserer langjährigen Erfahrung bei Planung und Montage von temporären Bürolösungen profitiert“, sagt ELA Außendienstmitarbeiter Marc Richter.
„Planung, Montage und Übergabe waren höchst professionell. ELA hat unseren Bedarf optimal abgebildet“,
bestätigt Klaus Schinzer, Leiter Plant Engineering bei
Bombardier in Hennigsdorf.

Dresdens Kultur- und Wissenschaftsinstitutionen haben
im Februar ein Zeichen für Toleranz gegenüber Flüchtlingen gesetzt. In insgesamt sieben gelben Containern
des Raumspezialisten ELA zeigten sie Kunst- und
Kulturinstallationen im Rahmen des Festivals „Weltoffenes Dresden“. Die Kunstwerke waren über die Dresdner
Altstadt verteilt. ELA Räume standen unter anderem auf
der Brühlschen Terrasse, am Schlossplatz, am Postplatz und am Theaterplatz.
Dresden‘s cultural and scientific institutions made a
statement on tolerance towards refugees in February.
In a total of seven yellow containers of room specialist
ELA, they displayed art and cultural installations in the
scope of the festival „Weltoffenes Dresden“. The artwork was distributed across the old town of Dresden.
ELA rooms were placed, among others, on the Brühlsche Terrasse, the Schlossplatz, the Postplatz and the
Theaterplatz.
Die mobilen Raumlösungen standen dabei auch als
Symbol für die Unterbringung von Menschen, die aus
ihrer Heimat flüchten mussten. Mit ELA Raumlösungen kann sichergestellt werden, dass auch temporäre
Unterkünfte einen hohen Wohnwert haben und eine
komfortable und sichere Unterbringung gewährleisten.
The mobile room solutions also served as a symbol for
the accommodation of people who had to flee from
their homes. ELA room solutions ensure that temporary
residences offer high living comfort and comfortable
and safe accommodation.
ELA hat schon des Öfteren Kommunen bei der Unterbringung von Flüchtlingen unterstützt, beispielsweise
in Schneeberg. Menschen, die dort zunächst notdürftig
in einer Turnhalle ohne ausreichende Sanitäranlagen
untergebracht waren, freuten sich bereits nach kurzer
Zeit über funktionelle und komfortable ELA Sanitärcontainer. „Unser dichtes Vertriebsnetz ermöglicht uns
auch kurzfristige Auslieferungen“, erklärt ELA Geschäftsführer Günter Albers. „Frei nach dem Motto
‚Heute bestellt, morgen geliefert‘ können sich Kommunen unserer schnellen Unterstützung sicher sein.“

ELA has supported several municipalities in accommodating refugees in the past, with Schneeberg among
them. People who were initially placed in a gym without
sufficient sanitary installations were happy with the
functional and comfortable ELA sanitary containers that
could be provided quickly. „Our dense sales network
permits deliveries even on short notice,“ explains ELA
manager Günter Albers. „We work according to‚ order
today, delivery tomorrow‘, and the municipalities can
rely on our quick support.“

ELA Container kann sich über eine treue Belegschaft
freuen. Dazu gehört auch Betriebswirt Hermann
Specken – mit 38 Jahren Betriebszugehörigkeit der
Dienstälteste unter allen 500 Mitarbeitern. Am 13. März
wurde er im Rahmen einer Feierstunde von der Gründerfamilie Albers und zahlreichen ELA Kollegen in den
Ruhestand verabschiedet.

include business economist Hermann Specken – at 38
years in the company, he has been with the company
longest among the 500 employees. He retired on 13
March in the scope of a celebration, where founding
family Albers and many ELA colleagues gave him their
farewells.

ersten Mitarbeiter ein. Specken war zunächst kaufmännischer Angestellter und wechselte später in die ELA
Vertriebsabteilung. Seine Spezialgebiete waren der
Sondercontainer-Bau und die Vermietung von mobilen
Räumen. Mitarbeiter und Kunden vertrauten gleichermaßen seinem großen Erfahrungsschatz. Die Familie
Albers dankte Specken für seine Treue zum Unternehmen und seinen Einsatz: „Mit seinem persönlichen
Engagement ist Hermann Specken Vorbild für alle ELA
Mitarbeiter und hat so zur erfolgreichen Unternehmenskultur beigetragen.“

in special container construction and renting of mobile
rooms. Employees and customers equally trusted in his
great experience. The Albers family thanked Specken
for his loyalty to the company and his commitment:
„With his personal commitment, Hermann Specken is a
wonderful example for all ELA employees. He has made
great contributions to successful corporate culture.“
Specken fiel der Abschied nicht leicht: „Mir hat es bei
ELA immer sehr gut gefallen – ich durfte viele tolle Projekte und Aufträge begleiten.“ Er dankte seinen Kollegen, der Geschäftsführung und seinen Kunden für die
gemeinsamen Jahre.
Specken found it hard to leave. „I have always liked it a
lot at ELA – I was able to support many great projects
and orders.“ He thanked his colleagues, the management and his customers for their years together.

Der Erfolg von ELA Container führt am Osten Europas
nicht vorbei. In diesem Jahr feiert der ELA Standort
Polen sein 10-jähriges Jubiläum.
The success of ELA Container is not passing by the
Eastern regions of Europe. The ELA site in Poland celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
„In Osteuropa eröffnet sich uns ein attraktiver Markt,
den wir dank unserer Stützpunkte in Wrocław und
Wołomin optimal bedienen können“, so ELA Geschäftsführer Günter Albers. Seit seiner Gründung im Jahre
2005 hat sich der Standort Polen erfolgreich entwickelt.
Auf dem 30.000 Quadratmeter großen Firmengelände
des polnischen ELA Hauptsitzes in Wołomin bei Warschau stehen über 2.000 Mietcontainer zur Auslieferung
bereit. In der 5.000 Quadratmeter großen Stahlbauhalle
werden die Module vormontiert, gereinigt und zur Auslieferung vorbereitet. Der Standort zählt außerdem drei
Spezial-LKW für Containertransporte.
„An attractive market is opening up in Eastern Europe.
Thanks to our bases in Breslau and Wołomin, we can
serve it perfectly,“ says ELA‘s managing director Günter
Albers. Since its founding in 2005, the Polish site has
developed successfully. More than 2,000 containers
for rent are ready to be delivered on the 30,000 square
metre corporate premises of the Polish ELA main seat
in Wołomin near Warsaw. The 5,000 square metre steel
construction hall is used to pre-install, clean and prepare the modules for delivery. The site also has three
special trucks for container transports.
ELA hat in Polen insgesamt 25 Mitarbeiter, davon
sechs im Außendienst, fünf im Bereich Service und drei
Kraftfahrer. „Wir haben eine motivierte und kompetente Mannschaft an unseren polnischen Stützpunkten“,
erklärt Albers. „Die Zusammenarbeit mit anderen
Standorten funktioniert über Ländergrenzen hinweg
ausgezeichnet.“

ELA has a total of 25 employees in Poland, including
six in field service, five in the service area and three
drivers. „We have a motivated and competent team at
our Polish sites,“ explains Albers. „The cooperation
with other sites works outstandingly across national
borders.“
