Over the course of 3 centuries, Gföllner has been the epitome for technical progress: what
started out as a blacksmith and carriage farrier business in 1895, today has turned into a
globally operating business, the range of products is being applied from the construction site
on the corner to aerospace technology.
Gföllner ist der Inbegriff für technischen Fortschritt über 3 Jahrhunderte: Was 1895 als Hufund Wagenschmiede begann, ist heute ein international tätiges Unternehmen mit einer Produktpalette, die von der Baustelle um die Ecke bis hin zur Weltraumfahrt eingesetzt wird.

Gföllner ist in vier Bereichen tätig:
Automotive and Trailer Engineering. All types of superstructures for trucks, custom
built truck trailers, trailers, dump trucks, hollow vehicles, or the assembly of side loading
boards and cranes – everything is possible!
Fahrzeug- u. Anhängerbau. Lkw-Aufbauten aller Art, maßgeschneiderte Sattelschlepper,
Anhänger, Kipper, Muldenfahrzeuge oder die Montage von Ladebordwänden und Kränen –
alles ist möglich!
Container Assembly. For the researchers, concept developers and engineers at Gföllner,
no area of use, no application is deemed too exotic. Over 25.000 units worldwide stand
proof to that – ranging from simple construction containers and mobile exhibition halls all
the way to walk-in and livid artwork.
Containerbau. Kein Einsatzzweck ist zu exotisch, keine Anwendung zu außergewöhnlich
für die Konzeptionisten und Ingenieure von Gföllner. Das beweisen inzwischen mehr als
25.000 Einheiten in aller Welt – vom einfachen Baucontainer über mobile Ausstellungshallen bis zum begeh- und bewohnbaren Kunstwerk.
E-Technology. Our own electronics department consults, plans, and realizes electronic
solutions, such as power distribution, room temperature, and network technology. By
means of integration with our other departments, perfect synergy for your field of use and
technology becomes possible.
E-Technik. Unsere interne Elektroabteilung berät, plant und realisiert Elektrik-Lösungen wie
Energieverteilung, Raumklima und Netzwerktechnik. Durch die Integration mit unseren
anderen Abteilungen wird perfekte Synergie für Ihren Nutz- und Technik-Raum möglich.
Services. In our opinion, uncompromising quality includes immediate repair of our products, as well as the comprehensive availability of spare parts. Also, there is always the
option of leasing container solutions by Gföllner; as, certainly, you will want to remain at
least as flexible as we are, ourselves.

Als im Jahr 1895 Alois und Aloisia Gföllner die Hufschmiede in Grieskirchen übernahmen,
konnten sie nicht ahnen, dass die Produkte ihrer Nachkommen bis in die letzen Winkel der
Welt im Einsatz sein würden.
When Alois and Aloisia Gföllner took over the blacksmith shop in Grieskirchen in 1895, they
had no idea that the products manufactured by their successors would be applied in every
corner of the world.
Nach dem 1. Weltkrieg sattelte Gföllner auf höherwertige Produkte um, und 1921 kam es
schließlich zur Gründung der Wagenbauanstalt.
Hier zeigte sich bereits der Innovationsgeist, der heute jedes einzelne Gföllner-Produkt auszeichnet: So wurde zum Beispiel 1929 die erste luftbereifte Kutsche zum großen Erfolg.
After World War I, Gföllner readjusted to higher quality products, and finally, in 1921, the
wagon construction facility was founded.
The innovative spirit, which characterizes each and every Gföllner product today, already had
begun to immerse: For example, the first wagon with air-filled tires became an instant hit in
1929.
Nach den Kriegsjahren hatte das Pferd endgültig ausgedient und Leopold Gföllner begann mit
der Herstellung von Anhängern und Aufbauten. Durch ungeahnte Höhenflüge im internationalen Handel & Transportwesen wurde im Jahr 1965 von Othmar und Leopold Gföllner –
bereits die dritte Generation - das neue Werk in Grieskirchen erbaut. Ab 1972 wurde das neue
Standbein, die Containererzeugung, intensiv vorangetrieben und ständig vergrößert. Und wieder wurden die Zeichen der Zeit richtig erkannt: Von der urbanen Baustelle bis in die Antarktis finden sich heute unsere flexiblen, kostengünstigen und überdurchschnittlich belastbaren
Mobilen Räume. Dass diese Flexibilität auch in Zukunft gewahrt bleibt, dafür sorgt seit den siebziger Jahren die eigene F&E-Abteilung sowie unsere Konzeptionisten, die für jede auch noch so
schwierig erscheinende Aufgabe die richtige mobile
Lösung entwerfen.
After the war, the horse had finally fulfilled their duty, and Leopold Gföllner started manufacturing trailers and tops for trucks and for the field of agriculture. Due to the unpredicted leap
of international trade and transportation, the new plant in Grieskirchen was built under Othmar and Leopold Gföllner in 1965 – already the third generation. Starting in 1972, the new
area of container production made intense progress and was expanded continually. And once
more, the sign of the times had been recognized properly: our flexible and extraordinarily
strain resistant mobile spaces can be found from the urban construction site all the way to
Antarctica. Our own R&D
department as well as our own
designers – who are capable of
developing the ideal mobile
solution to meet even the trikkiest of demands, have ensured
continuous flexibility for the
future.

While the world is growing together as one, economic borders crumble, and people and goods
are moving about more freely, the temptation of seeking a competitive advantage by
outsourcing to low-wage countries. Gföllner refuses to participate in this trend. Our entire
corporate structure evolved in Upper Austria, we are deeply rooted in this region. It is due to
the ambition, the creativity, and the education of the people in this state that our success in
the global market has even become possible.

Am Stammsitz von Gföllner werden von 130 hoch qualifizierten Mitarbeitern die Bereiche
Fahrzeugbau, Sondercontainer, E-Technik und Reparatur abgedeckt. Hier befinden sich
auch unsere Entwicklungsabteilung sowie die Konzeption.

130 highly qualified professionals cover the fields of automotive engineering, custom
