Die Form return with the
long-awaited follow-up
to their brilliant “Noir
Magnétique”-album:
“The album is titled
‘Rayon X’, in reference
to the x-rays which allow
us to ‘see’ inside a body
and reveal what it hides
or develops, anatomically or psychologically,
sometimes unknowingly
and silently. It also refers
to a bookshelf in libraries where the ‘forbidden’
books remain hidden (in
French, the word ‘rayon’
means both ray and
shelf…) By analogy, it
also refers to the silver
process
photography
which was developed by
light and photo chemistry, inside a darkroom”,
Philippe Fichot explains. Hence, the title
serves as a perfect analogy to the main ideas
Die Form has always been about. The album
production took a bit longer as first planned,
as Philippe discloses: ” The songs are along
the lines of ‘Noir Magnétique’, although they
were started in a rawer and more minimal
spirit, composed mainly with a digital drum
machine, analog synthesizers and my voice,
only. But I wasn’t satisfied with the first mixes. Over time and as the work progressed, a
new vision has emerged and we have chosen
to move towards a more finalized approach,
with additional vocals by Eliane, more structured sequences, rhythms with the original
TR-909 and some new effect plug-ins.” The
album will be released in four different formats, as Philippe informs us: “Next to the
regular album release, there will also be a
double CD version with different versions
as well as additional tracks,
a box set which will contain a
more extensive book and some
extras, as well as a vinyl version of the project.” As always,
Die Form have managed to
conjure up a fascinating sonic
vision, or, as Philippe explains:
“The result becomes a visual
and audio matter, reflecting
moments based on dreams,
fears, energies, passions, giddinesses, questions of uncertain outcome. An unfinished diary, of which certain elements
must remain invisible. Creation
sometimes becomes a form of
therapy.” Be prepared for one
of the most extraordinary audiovisual journeys of the year!

auch als Analogie auf
den chemischen Prozess
der Fotoentwicklung in einer Dunkelkammer zu
verstehen“, erklärt Philippe Fichot, was den Titel zu einer perfekten Analogie auf die zentralen
Themen der Band macht. Die Produktion dauerte
länger, als ursprünglich geplant: „Die Songs begannen als rohe und minimalistische Gerüste aus
einer digitalen Drum-Machine, meiner Stimme
und analogen Synthesizern. Ich war mit der ersten Vision allerdings nicht zufrieden und habe
das Ganze noch einmal komplett überarbeitet,
mit zusätzlichen Gesangsparts von Eliane, TR909-Rhythmen und neuen Effekten, sodass es
jetzt mehr wie eine Fortsetzung der Ideen auf
‚Noir Magnétique‘ klingt.“ Das Album wird in vier
verschiedenen Formaten erscheinen, wie Philippe erzählt: „Neben der regulären Album-CD wird
es auch eine Doppel-CD-Variante, mit anderen
Versionen und weiteren, neuen Tracks, und außerdem ein Box Set mit der Doppel-CD, einem
deluxe-Booklet und anderen Extras, sowie eine
Vinyl-Version des Projektes
geben.“ Die Form haben es
wieder einmal geschafft, ein
wahrhaft faszinierendes Klanguniversum zu erschaffen.
Philippe erklärt: „Das Resultat
ist ein audiovosuelles Destillat,
das Momente aus Träumen,
Ängsten, Energien, Leidenschaften, Unsicherheiten und
Fragen mit unsicherem Ausgang reflektiert: ein unvollendetes Tagebuch, bei dem
bestimmte Elemente unsichtbar bleiben müssen. So wird
Schöpfung oftmals zu einer
Form von Therapie.“ Macht

Singer
and mastermind
Andy Xx explains his
incentives: “All the
songs on the album are very punchy
and will make you want to move. Many
people are afraid of changes. They die
inside at 25 although they aren’t buried
until they’re 75. I think it is important
to understand that if you don’t live the
way you want - you’re like a corpse.
So don’t be afraid to change your
life cause now you’re TOO DEAD TO
DIE. That is the theme uniting all the
songs!” Hence the album title, as Andy
is not planning on taking any prisoners
and it is pretty hard to resist the lure of
his energy-laden Electro-inferno. The
band mixes a lot of different styles,
from Harsh Electro to Synth Pop to
create an addictive and highly original
sound. Andy himself couldn’t care less
about pigeonholes. He laughs: “I don’t
care much about musical styles, to be
honest. I think that the music of TDTD
is a mix of Hard Pop and Electro-Industrial. But who cares,
anything goes.” Andy sees
the band as the penultimate
fulfilment of his dreams: “I
had just graduated from university in the Spring of 2012
and become an engineer. But I
felt that something was missing because that wasn’t what
I’ve always dreamed of. I then
decided that I have no life to
lose and recorded my first
demo, instead of entering the
rat race.” And what are your
next plans, Andy. He smiles:
“Performing, performing, performing. Stay connected!”

Debütalbum „Murder On The Dance
Floor.“ Sänger und
Band-Kopf
Andy
Xx erklärt, was ihn
beim Schreiben der
Songs antrieb: „Die
Songs sind alle sehr
lebhaft und werden
dich dazu bringen, dich zu bewegen. Das zentrale
Thema ist: die meisten Menschen haben Angst vor
Veränderung. Mit 25 sterben sie innerlich, warten
aber noch bis 75, bis sie sich begraben lassen. Für
mich ist es wichtig zu verstehen, dass, wenn man
nicht das Leben lebt, das man leben will, man wie
eine Leiche wird. Also habt keine Angst, das Leben so zu gestalten, wie ihr es euch vorstellt, denn
dann seid ihr zu tot zum Sterben. Dieses Thema
zieht sich durch alle Songs.“ Daher auch der Albumitel, denn Andy hat sich vorgenommen, keine
Gefangenen zu machen und seinem energetischen
Electro-Inferno kann man sich auch tatsächlich nur
schwer entziehen. Too Dead To Die mischen auf
erfrischende Weise die verschiedensten Stile, von
Harsh Electro bis Synth Pop, was auch daran liegen
mag, dass Andy sich noch nie dafür interessiert hat,
in irgendeine Schublade zu passen. Er lacht: „Um
ehrlich zu sein, kenne ich mich mit musikalischen
Stilrichtungen zu wenig aus. Ich denke, die Musik
ist ein Mix aus Hard Pop und Electro-Industrial. Ist
aber auch egal, erlaubt ist,
was Spaß macht.“ Andy sieht
die Band als Verwirklichung
seiner Träume: „Im Frühjahr
2012 hatte ich gerade die
Universität mit einem Ingenieursdiplom abgeschlossen,
fühlte mich aber, als würde
mir etwas fehlen, weil es
nicht das war, was ich mir
immer erträumt hatte. Ich
dachte mir: ‚scheiß drauf, du
lebst nur einmal!‘ Dann habe
ich kurzerhand mein erstes
Demo aufgenommen.“ Auf
die nächsten Pläne angesprochen, lacht Andy: „Spielen,
spielen, spielen!“

prolongued
hiatus,
Anders
Hagström
returns with new vocalist Tea F. Thime to
put a fresh new twist
on his trademark melodic Synth sound. “I
did stop writing songs
but I didn’t stop composing. During the
hiatus I composed
a lot of instrumental
soundscapes,
experiments
and
the like. When AH
reformed, we went
through
all
that
material and wrote
several of the songs for the album based on those
musical structures”, Anders explains: “Were it not
for this incarnation I don’t think AH would’ve ever
come back again. It feels like a real blessing to
have been given another chance at it, the band
has had so many false starts during the 2010s. I
feel that the band has been pulled back into the
world of the living by the fans that simply wont
give up hope on us, but also by Tea who has
been a real force in bringing AH around again.”
So, how did Tea become involved? She laughs:
“Anders and I have known each other for some
6 years or so, so my inclusion in the band had
nothing to do with how we met. That story begins
with Anders quoting Jabberwocky out of nowhere
and me having a nerdgasm. As for my joining
AH, he asked me to try it out sometime in 2013
and we’ve been messing around with it since. I
was pretty nervous about it, though. I guess I
still am; given that my musical endeavours before AH have all pretty much been located in my
shower.” But she quickly grew to be an important
part of the writing process, as Anders reveals:
“Tea is an accomplished student of the English
language and I have found myself relying a lot
on her expertise. She’s also been quite involved
in writing the lyrics, giving them a different tone.
I think AH of 2014 is a more mysterious and
gloomy proposition. During the recording process
I’ve lost my mother and my grandfather. I have
also lost my home, my job and all sense of direction in life. This emptiness and utter isolation is
heard throughout the record I think. Ever since
we started work on this album we’ve known that
the name for it would be ‘The Looking Glass Society.’” Tea adds: “It’s also packed full of odd,
nerdy references. The time spent working on the
album has been very efficient. We always get a
lot done in a short amount of time once we get
around to it.” Ashbury Heights will be making
their live comeback with a show at 3rd Out Of
Line Weekender, the first concert in many years.
Tea chuckles: “Do expect a glimpse of the new
material! The album probably won’t be released
by then, but we’ll focus on playing new stuff. A
couple of songs from previous albums have snuck
their way into the set list, too, though. I’m excited
about it; my on-stage experience so far has been
all about runways or burlesque performances so
this’ll be quite the adventure.” We are very much
looking forward to it!

nie aufgehört, Musik
zu machen, allerdings
waren es mehr Fragmente und Klangexperimente, die ich
während der Pause
aufgenommen
habe. Wir konnten
allerdings auf viele
dieser Dinge zurückgreifen, nachdem wir Ashbury Heights wieder auferstehen lassen haben“,
erklärt Anders: „Hätte es die neue Besetzung
nicht gegeben, wäre die Band wohl nie zurückgekommen. Es fühlt sich echt toll an, wieder
etwas mit Ashbury Heights zu machen und es
waren vor allem die Fans und das Engagement
von Tea, die mich nach mehreren Fehlstarts dazu
gebracht haben, wieder loszulegen.“ Wie kam es
zu der Zusammenarbeit? Tea lacht: „Anders und
ich kennen uns schon gut 6 Jahre. Alles begann
mit Anders, der mir ein Jabberwocky-Zitat zuwarf, woraufhin ich einen Nerdgasmus bekam.
2013 fragte er mich daraufhin, ob ich es nicht bei
Ashbury Heights probieren möchte und seitdem
schrauben wir gemeinsam an Material. Ich war
zuerst ein wenig nervös, da meine musikalischen
Ambitionen davor ausschließlich unter der Dusche ausgelebt wurden.“ Aber Tea wurde schnell
zu einem wichtigen Teil der Band, wie Anders
erklärt: „Tea hat die englische Sprache studiert,
sodass ich mich viel auf ihre Expertise verlassen konnte. Sie hat sich auch sehr stark bei den
Texten eingebracht, was den neuen Songs einen
mysteriöseren und dunkleren Grundton verpasst
hat. Während der Aufnahmen starben meine
Mutter und mein Großvater, ich verlor mein Zuhause, meinen Job und zeitweise auch die Richtung in meinem Leben. Diese Leere und Isolation
schlägt sich auch auf dem Album nieder. Seit wir
mit den Aufnahmen begonnen haben, hatten wir
den Titel ‚The Looking Glass Society‘ im Kopf.“
Tea fügt hinzu: „Es ist außerdem voll von seltsamen, nerdigen Referenzen. Die Arbeit an dem
Album war sehr effizient... irgendwie schaffen
wir immer eine Menge in kurzer Zeit, wenn wir
uns zusammentun.“ Ashbury Heights werden
auf dem 3. Out Of Line Weekender ihr Bühnencomeback geben, mit dem ersten Konzert nach
langen Jahren. Tea schmunzelt: „Macht euch auf
einen guten Einblick in das neue Material gefasst.
Das Album wird zwar wahrscheinlich noch nicht
fertig sein aber wir werden euch trotzdem viele,
neue Sachen vorstellen. Natürlich werden auch
diverse Songs von älteren Alben zu hören sein,
keine Angst. Ich bin ziemlich aufgeregt. Bisher
beschränkt sich meine Bühnenerfahrung auf
Laufstege und Burlesque-Darbietungen, daher
wird das ein ziemliches Abenteuer werden.“ Wir

unveils a completely
new and unheardof side with his new
project “Harms &
Kapelle”:
melodic
Alternative-Rock-attacks meet Folk- and
Rockabilly-elements
and the grand scale
country ballad receives
a
contemporary
overhaul,
hanseatic
feeling
inclusive. And all of
this garnished with exquisite German lyrics. How come? “Well...
just like some of the best photos
are made by accident, this band came into
being when my production partner for Lord
Of The Lost, Benny and I started fooling
around with some ideas for German-language Country-Rock’n’Roll-songs and put
them into a folder titled ‘Harms & Kapelle’
(=Harms & band.) Suddenly, we were
singer and bass player of a new band and
when it became clear that we were actually going to go all the way with this, we
wereutterly unable to come up with a cool
name and decided to stick with the uncool,
German name we had. Sometimes, you
just have to call things by their name. I
am Harms and this is my band.” Was this
something that just had to be done, musicwise? “Yes. Never done that and always
wanted to. Now it is out”, Chris laughs.
And why German lyrics. “It is a belly-thing.
German feels and conveys emotions differently from English. This started German
and will stay German.” With Der Schulz,
of Unzucht and Comte Caspar, of Coppelius-fame, the debut album also features
two prominent guest stars: “Schulz and I
have been ping-ponging prose while drunk
on tour. I could remember a few things
the next day and wrote them
down. At the next party, I was
drunk again and asked him
whether he would sing on the
track, as well. It seems he said
yes. The collaboration with
Caspar came about through
our shared fascination with
German songwriter Reinhard
Mey and through discussion
solutions for problems concerning the recording of classical instruments.” Are there
plans for a tour? Chris laughs:
“Yes. But later. We first want to
know whether anyone will understand what we were trying
to do. I can say for myself that
I am a big fan!” We are, too!

echtem hanseatischen Flair aufgedrückt. Und das alles deutschsprachig. Wie kam es dazu? Chris
lacht: „Genauso wie die schönsten Bilder durch Zufallsauslöser entstehen, entstand auch diese Band.
Mein Lord Of The Lost-Produktionspartner Benny und
ich schraubten, ohne Ziel, nur zum Spaß, an ein paar
deutschsprachigen Country-RnR-Songs und benannten den Produktionsordner ‚Harms & Kapelle‘. Und
ehe wir uns versahen, waren wir beide Sänger und
Bassist dieser Band. Als das ganze dann ernster wurde, und wir auf der Suche nach einem coolen Bandnamen verzweifelten, entschieden wir uns aus Prinzip
für den urdeutschen und absolut uncoolen Namen,
den wir jetzt haben. Man sollte die Dinge manchmal
einfach so benennen, wie sie sind. Gestatten, ich bin
Harms und das ist meine Kapelle. Punkt.“ War das
musikalisch etwas, das einfach mal raus musste?
„Ja. Noch nie vorher gemacht, immer gewollt, aber
nie in eine andere Band hineinzwängen wollen. Jetzt
ist es draussen“, lächelt Chris. Und warum deutsche
Texte? „Das ist ein Gefühlsding. Deutsch fühlt sich
anders an und transportiert Gefühle ganz anders.
Diese Band ist deutsch und wird deutsch bleiben“,
erklärt Chris. Mit Der Schulz von Unzucht und Comte
Caspar von Coppelius haben Harms & Kapelle auch
noch zwei prominente Gäste an Bord: „Schulz und
ich haben auf Tour nach viel zu viel Sprit angefangen, Prosa-Ping-Pong zu spielen und so entstanden
ein paar Textbausteine. An einiges konnte ich mich
ein paar Tage später noch erinnern. Und bei der nächsten
Party lallte ich dann in sein Ohr,
ob er denn auch gern bei einem
Track mitsingen wollen würde.
Offensichtlich hat er ja gesagt. Die Zusammenarbeit mit
Caspar entstand durch unsere
gemeinsame Leidenschaft für
Reinhard Mey und die Lösung
von Problemen bei der Aufnahme klassischer Instrumente
im Studio.“ Gibt es auch TourPläne? Chris lacht: „Ja. Aber
nicht so bald. Erstmal sind wir
gespannt darauf, ob überhaupt
irgendjemand versteht, was wir
da produziert haben. Ich zumindest bin bereits jetzt ein großer
Fan.“ Wir definitiv auch!

are playing larger
clubs than ever
before, they have
put together a
tour of
the USA
just with
the help
of their

they are playing the 3rd Out Of Line Weekender... and beside all this, they are hard
working on their next album, which is
planned for May. The epic-melodic single
“Afterlife” will serve as an excellent appetizer that is not exactly representative for the
entire work, as Chris Harms explains: “The
next album is as versatile as ever, but with a
focus on being faster and harder. While the
first single is bordering on Pop, you can be
ready to expect some surprises. It might be
that some hardcore-goths will jump the boat,
but, hey! Who dares, wins. Into the fire!” The
album tour is taking place on a larger scale
than ever before. Chris chuckles: “It is time
to take the next step. The album is aptly
titled ‘From The Flame Into The Fire.’ The
flame is burning, now it is time to ignite the
fire but this only works if one is ready to take
the next hurdle. Now it’s halls, not clubs.
This is really exciting and a bit scary and we
hope that we will be able to fill those with
more than just music...” But, knowing the
band, who would ever doubt that the lads
are going to pull this off? The group’s first big
U.S.-tour was made possible by the support
of the fans, a proof for the fact that there
is quite a fire burning overseas, already, as
well.”This tour was made possible by the
fans. Our promoter launched a kickstarter
campaign where our fans could
donate money for certain perks.
This money will be used to cover
the travel costs and lodging that
we could have never covered
alone through the income from
the gigs. This is amazing, we are
eternally grateful and we promise that we will give everything!”
And what do the guys expect?
“We try not to expect more than
to play pure Rock n Roll in little,
smoky joints frequented by only
2 cowboys who think that we
are ultra-gay. Nothing can go
wrong this way”, Chris laughs.

Out Of Line Weekender... und arbeiten ganz nebenbei
an ihrem nächsten Album, das für Mai geplant ist. Als
Vorbote erscheint nun die Single „Afterlife“, auf der es
die Band episch-melodisch angehen lässt, von der man
aber keinesfalls auf das ganze Album schließen sollte,
wie Chris Harms erklärt: „Unser nächstes Album bleibt
vielseiting, wie eh und je, aber der Grundtenor ist
schneller und härter. Wir legen mit der ersten Single
zwar sehr poppig vor, werden dann aber einige Überraschungsknaller zünden. Ich bin mir sicher, der ein oder
andere Hardcore-Gruftie macht dann den Sargdeckel
zu. Aber... wer nichts wagt. Daher: Into the fire!!!“
Auf der Tour zum Album lässt die Band dieses Mal
alles eine Nummer größer angehen. Chris lacht: „Es
ist Zeit, den nächsten Schritt zu wagen. Das nächste
Album heisst nicht ohne Grund ‚From The Flame Into
The Fire‘. Die Flamme brennt gerade. Jetzt ist es Zeit,
das Feuer wirklich zu entzünden, aber das geht nur,
wenn man versucht, die nächsten Hürden zu nehmen.
Auf einmal sind es keine Clubs mehr, sondern kleine
Hallen. Das ist extrem spannend und auch ein wenig
beängstigend, wenn es darum geht, diese Hallen mit
mehr zu füllen, als nur mit Musik...“ Aber wer würde
bezweifeln, dass dies den Jungs mit Bravour gelingen
wird? Die erste große USA-Tour wurde alleine durch
Fan-Unterstützung möglich, was zeigt, dass das Feuer
auch in Übersee bereits lodert. „Diese Tour verdanken wir nur unseren Fans. Unsere Promoterin hat eine
Kickstart-Aktion gemacht, und die Fans haben für bestimte Perks Geld spenden können. An diesem Geld bereichern
wir uns kein Stück, es fließt alles
in die Reisekosten, die auf so
einer ersten Tour niemals allein
durch Konzerte hätten getragen
werden können. Das ist unglaublich und spornt uns enorm an, alles zu geben!“ Und was erwarten
die Jungs? „Wir versuchen, nicht
mehr zu erwarten, als puren
Rock n Roll in kleinen, rauchigen
Spelunken, in denen 2 Cowboys
sitzen, die uns ultraschwul finden. Mit dieser Einstellung kann
nichts schief gehen“, lacht Chris.
Wir glauben aber, dass da durchaus mehr drin ist. Lasst euch
ansonsten den Gig der Band auf

nicht entgehen.

“My intention in Rabia
Sorda is to run away
from definitions. I’m not
a purist at all. Fuck musical styles in their pure
form! Let’s make a bastard mix of good music!”
states Erk Aicrag with a
wide grin. On his new
album “Hotel Suicide”,
he is certainly pushing
the envelope further
than ever, creating an
energetic and relentlessly addictive monster
comprised of elements
of Electro, New Wave,
Punk, Industrial, Post
Punk and even some
Metal influences. It also perfectly reproduces the manic
energy that the band conveys
live... and it has some massive
guitar riffing embedded into
the trademark Rabia Sorda sound, this time
around. “I think it was about time to let the
six string monster speak more on the songs.
I had already recorded guitars by myself on
the other RS albums, but it just felt right to
go one step further. The guitar sounds give
the songs a more nasty feel and they fit perfectly in the songs. I decided to work with the
great producer Alex Lysjakow to get it just
right. He’s a rock producer all the way and
he works really hard to achieve the sound
he has in mind. Our vision about this album
matched since the moment we met. Jeans
played most of the drums on the album and
had long guitar sessions with Grigory and
Warthy”, explains Erk. The album title is
to be taken symbolically. “It’s all about the
idea of transition and change. Death is the
most expressive way to achieve this. So, I

own life. I’m not necessarily talking about
a physical death; I mainly want to say that
in order to achieve change or transition you
need to kill yourself (emotionally/spiritually)
or at least a part of your own self to be reborn as new individual. I have
committed suicide at many
stages of my life: artistic suicide, spiritual suicide, sexual
suicide, social suicide… and
I’m still around looking for my
next transition. Hotel Suicide
paints the scenario where all
these suicidal acts take place.

ist ein energetisches
Monster aus Electro,
New Wave, Punk, Industrial,
Post Punk und sogar einigen
Metal-Einflüssen. Es bringt
die manische Energie der liveKonzerte der Band perfekt auf
den Punkt und überrascht auch durch geschickte
Einbindung massiver Gitarrenriffs in das bekannte
Electro-Inferno. „Das alte Sechs-Saiten-Monster
brauchte einfach einen größeren Auftritt. Ich habe
schon auf den vorherigen Alben selbst einige Gitarren eingespielt, aber diesmal fühlte es sich einfach richtig an, einen Schritt weiter zu gehen. Ich
habe mit dem genialen Produzenten Alex Lysjakow
gearbeitet, der eigentlich ein Rock-Typ ist und immer sehr akribisch am perfekten Sound feilt, um
genau den richtigen Mix hinzubekommen. Unsere
Visionen für das Material waren von Anfang an die
Gleichen, sodass es perfekt passte. Jeans spielte
die meisten Drums live ein und wir hatten lange
Gitarrensessions mit Grigory und Warthy.“ Der Albumtitel ist allerdings eher auf symbolischer Ebene zu verstehen. Erk erklärt: „Es geht um Übergang und Veränderung. Der Tod ist der finalste
Weg, Veränderung herbeizuführen, also habe ich
mit dem selbstbestimmten Tod befasst. Ich rede
nicht unbedingt von einem physikalischen Tod,
denn manchmal muss man sein Inneres oder einen Teil davon, emotional oder spirituell abtöten,
um als neuer Mensch wiedergeboren zu werden.
Ich habe schon viele solcher Selbstmorde begangen: künstlerisch, spirituell,
sexuell, sozial... und ich schaue
mich weiter nach der nächsten
Veränderung um. Hotel Suicide
ist der Ort, wo all diese Szenarien passieren. Es mag zuerst beängstigend sein... aber
habt keine Angst: Erk wartet
in Zimmer 13 auf euch und
wir werden viel Spaß haben.“

his dreams, Hermann
Ostfront, mastermind
of one the most fascinating and controversial bands to currently come out of the
German Rock scene,
went to work to create
his personal magnum
opus. The follow-up to
OST+FRONT’s debut
“Ave Maria” which shot
straight to the German
album charts upon release
carries
the fitting name
“Olympia” and
is a grim chronicle of our present time. “It was a very intense phase of
our production when I had that dream.
Olympia seemed like an invincible Babylon, the capital of planet America. I usually don’t remember dreams when I awake
but this one stuck to me. Hence the title”,
Hermann recounts. Music-wise, “Oympia”
turned out even more versatile than the
debut: Electronica, hard guitars, Medieval
choirs, ballads... it almost seems as though
Hermann Ostfront tried to bring together
all elements from his previous career while
driving the band to extremes at the same
time. He smiles: “I really tried to bring together the essences of my previous career,
to force the extremes into a touching opus.
It seems I have succeed.” Yes, most definitely. The lyrical side of album number two
bears even more volatile potential than the
debut, interlaced with a wonderful sense
of dark cynicism and skillfully unmasking
all of humankind’s evil sides. “Anders”, for
instance, deals with the delicate subject of
Anders Breivik, describing his atrocities in
first person form. Hermann explains why
he approached the subject this way: “The
case of Anders Breivik is most effectively
experienced from this perspective. He is
no genius, just a sad individual
who tried to blame his social
incompetence and bad childhood on his fellow man. I could
have written an entire album
about Ted Bundy. Anders just
needs these few lines. I prefer to use this kind of intense
form. No glorification, but also
no pointing fingers. Just facts
to be experienced.” The band’s
spectacular live shows, which
come across like a circus gone
mad, also tend to polarize.

unerbittliche Chronik unserer Zeit. „Es war in einer

ein gutes Stück vielseitiger ausgefallen: Elektronik,
härtere Gitarren, Mittelalter-Choräle, Balladenhaftes... fast wirkt es, als wollte Hermann Ostfront
alle Elemente seiner musikalischen Laufbahn verarbeiten und die Band gleichzeitig an ihre Extreme
treiben. Er lächelt: „Es ist tatsächlich so, dass ich
die Essenzen meines bisherigen Schaffens vereinen
wollte. Die Extreme in ein bewegendes Werk zu
zwingen, war das Ziel. Anscheinend ist mir das auch
ganz gut gelungen.“ Fürwahr, das ist es! Auf der lyrischen Seite birgt Album Nummer zwei allerdings
fast noch mehr Sprengpotential als das schon nicht
gerade zimperliche Debüt, wieder verpackt in wundervoll bösartig-zynische Texte, welche die Niederungen der menschlichen Zivilisation entlarven. So
behandelt z.B. „Anders“ das heikle Thema Anders
Breivik und durchleuchtet dessen Beweggründe aus
der Ego-Perspektive. Hermann erklärt, was ihn dazu
trieb: „Der Fall Anders wird in dieser distanzlosen
Form am intensivsten erlebbar. Das ist kein genialer
Mensch. Nach einer schlechten
Kindheit sucht er die Schuld für
seine soziale Inkompetenz bei
seinen Mitmenschen. Über Ted
Bundy hätte ich ein ganzes Album schreiben können. Für Anders reichen ein paar Zeilen. Ich
berichte gerne auf diese sehr
eindringliche Art und Weise.

Devil May Cry”, the Norwegian-American masters of mayhem, Combichrist, are back on
more familiar turf with
a massive onslaught of
powerful electronics on
their long-awaited new
album “We Love You”,
which will hit shops on
March 21st.
But you can
bet that the
band has a
lot of sonic
surprises in store for y’all this time around, as
well. “It was really an amazing year writing and
recording this album. I always felt I could do
exactly what I felt like doing, but this time it was
a little different. Somehow I managed to sum up
mostly everything about myself in one album.
I’m really excited where this went for me”, says
mastermind Andy LaPlegua. And it shows, as
“We Love You” is easily the most diverse and
powerful Combichrist-album to date, marrying
the Electro-madness from the old days with fullfrontal guitar attacks. Those who have followed
the band from day one will probably relieved to
hear that Andy has not discarded the electronic
side of the band. He laughs: “I never discarded
anything, I just have a past of Rock music that
will never leave me alone. I just do what I do, if
that makes sense. I listen to everything, so it’s
important to me to use all that inspiration. And
of course, everything I do is a part of the evolution of Combichrist.” Why the title “We Love
You”? It does sound a tad sweet for the sonic
havoc you wreak. “Well, since most people’s
first encounter with Combichrist was ‘Everybody Hates You’, I thought it was about time
to release ‘We Love You.’ Everybody else still
hates you, we just want to make sure you know
we dont. ‘We love you’ is followed by ‘now die’
in the title track, so, who knows... maybe I am
a cynic”, Andy explains chuckling. Then there
is also a song called “F**k Unicorns”, which
we reckon can be quite painful if
you are on the wrong side of the
equation. Andy laughs: “I never
thought about it that way, sounds
fun. I’m sure Joe is into it.” Combichrist will be headlining the Friday at the Out Of Line Weekender
at the end of March, surrounded
by some European dates and followed by a massive U.S.-Tour.
“Expect 100% Combichrist”, says
Andy: “After that, we will take
over the world, one bleeding ear
at a time!” And, as Combichrist
deliver one of the most exciting and visceral live experiences
around, there will be nothing to

„Es war eine Wahnsinns-Zeit, dieses Album aufzunehmen. Ich habe immer das gemacht, was ich wollte,
aber dieses Mal habe ich es irgendwie geschafft,
alles, was mich musikalisch ausmacht, auf einem
Album zu versammeln. Ich bin absolut begeistert“,
erzählt Band-Kopf Andy LaPlegua. Und das macht
sich auch sofort bemerkbar, ist „We Love You“ doch
das vielseitigste und kraftvollste Combichrist-Album
aller Zeiten geworden, welches den elektronischen
Wahnwitz der alten Zeiten mit gnadenlosen GitarrenAttacken verbindet. Die alten Fans wird aber sicherlich besonders freuen, dass Andy seine elektronische
Sache nicht ad acta gelegt hat. Er lacht: „Ich habe nie
etwas ad acta gelegt. Ich habe allerdings auch eine
Rockmusik-Vergangenheit, die mich nicht loslässt.
Ich mache einfach das, was ich will.Ich höre sehr viel
verschiedene Musik, daher ist es wichtig, dass ich alle
diese Einflüsse auch verarbeite. Das ist alles ein Teil
der natürlichen Evolution von Combichrist.“ Der Titel
„We Love You“ klingt allerdings ziemlich zahm für das
Klangmonster, das die Band da geschaffen hat. „Naja,
die meisten Leute haben uns durch ‚Everybody Hates
You‘, kennen gelernt, da war ein ‚We Love You‘ einfach an der Zeit. Obwohl euch die Leute immer noch
hassen, wollen wir euch sagen, dass wir das nicht
tun. Andererseits lasse ich dem ‚We Love You‘ (wir lieben dich) auch ein ‚Now Die‘ (nun stirb) im Titelsong
folgen. Ich bin wahrscheinlich einfach ein Zyniker“,
grinst Andy. Es gibt auch einen Song namens „F**k
Unicorns“ auf dem Album... könnte das nicht ziemlich
schmerzhaft ausfallen, wenn man sich am falschen
Ende der Paarung befindet? Andy
brüllt vor Lachen: „Hmm... so
habe ich das noch nicht betrachtet, aber ich glaube, Joe wird voll
drauf abfahren.“ Combichrist sind
der Freitags-Headliner auf dem
Out Of Line Weekender Ende März,
werden darum herum noch einige Europa-Konzerte spielen um
dann auf eine ausgedehnte USATour zu gehen. „Erwartet einfach
100% Combichrist!“, meint Andy:
„Danach werden wir die Welt erobern, ein blutendes Ohr nach dem
Anderen!“ Und da Combichrist
live immer ein Erlebnis sind, wird
nichts und niemand sie aufhalten

Back with a bang! Following a prolongued hiatus,
seminal pioneers of Female Electronica, Client,
have recruited new singer
Client N (a charismatic and
powerful vocal performer
who has been very active
in her home city of Bristol) and have recorded a
powerhouse of synthesizer-driven tunes that, in a
way, marks a highly effective return to the group’s
roots in minimal electronic
Pop music, yet with a very
modern,
club-oriented
twist. “When we toured our
last album ‘Command’ for
two years, it came to light
that Client B wanted to reform her old band Dubstar
and I was fine with that.
Then she informed me that
she wanted to concentrate 100% on that and
would not be writing songs with me. It was all
really sad but sometimes things happen that
you just cannot foresee. I decided to take a
break from the band myself to concentrate
on my fashion line... after three years, I decided, I was ready to get back in the musical
fold”, explains Client A (Kate Holmes), the
group’s creative head. Meeting new singer
Client N pretty much happened by chance:
“I had started putting together demos with
my producer David Francolini and had some
ideas for singers but nothing concrete. David
suggested that Nicole (Client N) could just
come in to sing on the demos so we could
get a better idea about the song structure
and... wow... not only did she look fantastic, but that girl could sing!” And so that was
that and Client N is very excited to now be
part of the band: “ I am delighted and looking forward to pushing the sound and vision
of client into the future. I am really excited
about being the new face for the new Client.” The new album’s title is “Authority” and
is pretty much a return to the group’s roots
in strong minimal Electro Pop.
“I wanted to come back with
something strong... back to
basics using minimal sounds to
create a tapestry of Electronica. Title-wise, after ‘Command’
comes ‘Authority.’ I love one
word titles for albums and feel
we have finally earned enough
dues to use a strong title. Just
as being strong doesn’t mean
you have to be ugly, you can
make strong music and still
have top-line melodies”, Client A explains... and who
would disagree? The next step
is to take Client 2.0 on the
road: “We have some festivals planned and some small
shows, too….can’t wait to take
the new Client out!”
Client sind zurück! Nach einer längeren Pause haben
die Pioniere der „Female
Electronica“-Bewegung mit
der charismatischen Sängerin Client N, einer bekannten Sängerin aus der
Bristol-Szene, nicht nur
eine beeindruckende, neue
Stimme gefunden, sondern auch eine kraftvolle
Sammlung an Synthesizergetriebenen Stücken im
Gepäck, die eine effektive
Rückkehr zu den MinimalElectro-Pop-Wurzeln
der
Band einläuten, allerdings
in einer sehr modernen,
Club-orientierten
Neuinterpretation. Client A (Kate
Holmes) erklärt die Pause:
„Während der langen Tour
zum letzten Album ‚Command‘ eröffnete mir Client
B, dass sie ihre alte Band Dubstar reformieren
wolle. Kurz darauf sagte sie mir, dass sie nicht
mehr für Client zu Verfügung stehen würde. Das
war ein ziemlicher Schlag, aber manchmal kann
man die Dinge nicht ändern. Ich habe also drei
Jahre Pause gemacht und mich zunächst voll auf
mein Modelabel konzentriert, bevor ich bereit
war, wieder mit der Musik anzufangen.“ Die neue
Sängerin, Client N, kam ziemlich durch Zufall zur
Band, wie Client A erklärt: „Ich war dabei, mit
meinem Produzenten, David Francolini, neue Demos aufzunehmen. Er schlug vor, Nicole (Client
N) einzuladen, damit diese zu den Demos singen
könne und wir die Songstrukturen besser ausarbeiten können. Ich hatte schon ein paar Ideen
bezüglich neuer Sängerinnen, aber noch nichts
Konkretes und dann stand da dieses Mädchen...
sie sah nicht nur fantastisch aus, sie konnte auch
Singen!“ Client N ist ebenfalls ziemlich begeistert,
Teil dieser Sache zu sein: „Ich freue mich echt, daran mitzuarbeiten, den Sound und die Vision von
Client in die Zukunft zu überführen und bin ziemlich stolz, das neue Gesicht der Band zu sein.“ Das
neue Album heißt „Authority“ (=Autorität) und ist
eine fulminante Rückkehr zu den Minimal-ElectroPop-Wurzeln der Band. „Ich
wollte mit etwas Starkem zurück kommen... zurück zur Basis, mit minalistischen Sounds
als Basis eines elektronischen
Soundgeflechtes. ‚Authority‘ der
logische Nachfolger von ‚Command‘ (Kommando). Ich liebe
reduzierte Titel und ich finde,
wir haben uns die Lorbeeren für
ein starkes Wort echt verdient.
Stärke bedeutet nicht Hässlichkeit und man kann wuchtige
Musik machen und trotzdem
eingängige Melodien haben“,
erklärt Client A. Als Nächstes
will sie die neue Inkarnation der
Gruppe auf Tour bringen: „Wir
haben schon ein paar Festivals
und Club-Shows in Planung. Ich
kann es kaum erwarten!“

it was Chris Pohl’s big
dream to also record a
studio album with the
opulent sound of a big
orchestra. The dream
has now become reality,
in form of “Black Symphonies.” Chris’ eyes
light up: “Yep! It really
was a dream. I was always fond of string and
piano sounds, so being
able to use a real orchestra was something else and fit hand in glove with
Blutengel. Five years ago, I would have never
dreamed of ever being able to do something like
this.” Working on this album was a quite different experience, as Chris explains: “Conrad Oleak,
who also plays piano with us live on stage, arranged the songs and recorded the orchestra and
instruments... I just sang to the finidhed recordings. It was way less stress than usual (laughs.)
Arranging and recording orchestral versions is
way more complicated and expensive than recording electronic music. Hence, it was good
that we already had a pool of songs performed
at the Gothic-Meets-Klassik festival. These songs
were rearranged to suit the studio recordings and
complemented by some songs from the last album
and a completely new composition, ‘Krieger.’” Said
new songs sounds pretty much like an anthem for
Blutengel. Chris nods: “Correct. This song is very
important to me, as I wrote it to celebrate Blutengel’s 15th anniversary. It is basically about the
fact that we did not let success and the industry
change us and that we have stayed goth at heart
all these years.” The album will also be released
as a deluxe version featuring a bonus live DVD
containing the best moments from the legendary
show with the symphony orchestra of Zielona Gora
at the Neues Gewandhaus Leipzig, which started
it all. For real diehard fans, “Black Symphonies”
will also come as a deluxe set in a
lavish black wooden box with gold
print which contains the deluxe
CD/DVD version of the album, plus
the exclusive CD-single “Krieger”,
an exclusive “Black Symphonies”
T-shirt/girlie shirt and a “Black
Symphonies” candle cover starter
set with a red candle. As a special
exclusive collector’s item, the box
also contains a hand numbered
replica page from the original score
for “Reich mir die Hand”, handsigned by Chris Pohl and Ulrike

3rd Out Of Line Weekender. Chris
reveals: “It will be a normal Blutengel-show with just a few symphonic
elements. But you can bet we will
have a couple of neat surprises in

Gothic Meets Klassik Festival, als auch die darauf
folgende Klassik-Tour zu
den beeindruckendsten
musikalischen Erlebnissen der letzten Jahre
gehört haben, war der
nächste große Traum für
Chris Pohl, auch ein Studioalbum mit dem opulenten Gänsehaut-Sound
eines großen Orchesters
einzuspielen.
Dieser
Traum wird jetzt wahr:
mit „Black Symphonies“.
Darauf
angesprochen,
bekommt Chris leuchtende Augen: „Das mit dem
Traum kommt schon hin.
Ich habe schon immer
gerne Streicher- und Pianosounds verwendet, daher passt
das natürlich perfekt zu Blutengel. Vor fünf Jahren hätte
ich sicher nie gedacht, dass es jemals zu einer kompletten
Orchester-Platte kommen würde.“ Die Arbeit an diesem
Album unterschied sich auch deutlich von den bisherigen
Produktionen der Band, wie Chris verrät: „Um die Arrangements und Aufnahmen hat sich Conrad Oleak gekümmert, der auch live bei uns Piano spielt. Ich habe dann
am Ende zu den fertigen Aufnahmen gesungen. Dadurch
war die Arbeit, zumindest für mich, entspannter, als sonst
(lacht). Das Arrangieren und Aufnehmen solcher Orchesterversionen ist um einiges teurer und komplizierter, als
eine Electro-Nummer zu produzieren. Daher war es gut,
dass wir aus dem Pool der Stücke, die für die GothicMeets-Klassik-Show arrangiert wurden, schöpfen konnten.
Diese Songs wurden für die Aufnahmen umarrangiert und
um einige Titel der letzten Scheibe und den neuen Song,
‚Krieger‘, ergänzt.“ Stichwort „Krieger“- dieser Song hat ja
durchaus etwas Hymnen-haftes. Chris nickt: „Genau! Das
ist ein sehr wichtiger Song, den ich quasi zum 15-jährigen
Bestehen der Band geschrieben habe. Es geht darum, dass
wir immer schwarz geblieben sind und uns vom Erfolg,
Chartsplatzierungen und Anfragen von Majors nicht haben
verändern lassen.“ Das Album erscheint auch als deluxe
Variante mit einer Bonus-live-DVD, welche eine Zusammenstellung der besten Momente aus dem Gothic Meets
Klassik Konzert mit dem Symphonieorchester von Zielona
Gora im Neuen Gewandhaus Leipzig enthält, mit dem alles
begann. Für echte Fans gibt es das Release auch als streng
limitiertes Box-Set in einer exquisiten, schwarzen Holzkassette mit
Golddruck, welche die deluxe CD/
DVD-Version des Albums, die exklusive CD-Single „Krieger“, ein exklusives „Black Symphonies“-T-Shirt/
Girlie Shirt, sowie ein „Black Symphonies“ Candle Cover, als Starterset mit einer roten Kerze enthält.
Als besonders edle Sammlerkomponente enthält die Box zusätzlich

„Es wird eine ‚normale Show‘ mit
wenigen Klassik-Elementen werden,
aber wir werden uns schon einige,
schöne Dinge für euch ausdenken.“

as Meinhard has not
only utterly defied
categorization,
but
also delivered one
of the most exciting
debut albums of the
past few years. He
smiles: “Thank you
for the compliment..,
it is nice to see that
press
and
listeners occasionally do
honor something a
little off beat and unusual. There have been
some negative voices,
of course, but for me,
it is a sign that I am on the right path
when my work tends to polarize.” Speaking of the “right path” ... there are rumors
that Meinhard is already in the completion
phase of the follow-up. He nods: “Yes, the
rumors are true... and I am pretty much in
the mid of the completion phase of not just
one, but of two albums revolving around a
single concept that are planned for release
in short succession sometime this year. An
alchemusical experiment, so to speak.” The
two albums will be even more versatile than
Meinhard’s multifaceted debut. “The two albums will be quite different from one another. I am already looking forward to see how
people are going to react. I can promise you
that the new works will polarize even more
and are destined to cause quite a stir, as
the instrumentation will follow the concept
even more consequently than on ‘Beyond
Wonderland.’ Generally speaking, the first
album will be much darker and delicate than
the world behind the rabbit hole. The second records will be lighter and more upbeat
but much more substantial than anything I
have ever done. It is all quite contradictory
and will be a new experience both for me
and the listeners”, he reveals. Meinhard will
take the stage at the 3rd Out Of Line Weekender to deliver his art to the crowds. He
laughs: “I am very much looking forward to
it. A festival is, unfortunately, not the ideal
framework to put the complete Meinhardshow on stage in all its pompous glory, but
you can be sure that we will have a good
show in store for you and will bring you
some impressions from ‘Beyond Wonderland’, as well as some new songs.” Hence,
it will be something to look forward to. And
no matter whether this will be your first exposure to the mad and wonderful world of
Meinhard or whether you will be just looking
forward to hearing the new material: it will
be a one of a kind experience!
Mit „Beyond Wonderland“
hat
sich
der
sympathische
Paradiesvogel Meinhard nicht nur jeglicher Kategorisierung
entzogen,
sondern
auch eines der spannendsten Debütalben
der
letzten
Jahre
abgeliefert. Er lacht:
„Zunächst danke für
die Lorbeeren… Es
ist schön, zu erleben, dass auch ein
so skurriles und ungewöhnliches
Werk
in der Presse und beim
Publikum durchwegs so
geschätzt und gelobt
wird. Es gab zwar auch vereinzelt manch derbe
kritische Stimmen, doch wenn ein Projekt die
Menschen dergestalt polarisiert, ist dies immer
ein Zeichen, dass man auf dem richtigen Weg
ist.“ A propos „richtiger Weg“ ... man munkelt
ja, dass sich der Nachfolger schon mitten in der
Fertigstellung befindet. Meinhard verrät: „Ja, da
munkelt man ganz richtig! ‚Mitten in der Fertigstellung‘ ist zwar ungewöhnlich formuliert, doch
in diesem Falle trifft es beinahe prophetisch zu.
Es werden, wie es scheint, sehr zeitnah zueinander zwei Alben veröffentlicht, die sich um
ein Konzept drehen… ein alchemusikalisches
Experiment.“ Musikalisch wird es in diesem Falle
wohl noch vielseitiger werden, als es auf „Beyond
Wonderland“ der Fall war. „Die beiden kommenden Alben werden sich merklich voneinander unterscheiden. Ich bin sehr gespannt, wie das Publikum darauf reagiert. Das Werk wird sicherlich
sehr stark polarisieren und für Furore sorgen! Die
musikalische Umsetzung folgt, instrumental gesehen, dem Thema, meiner Ansicht nach, noch
konsequenter, als es schon bei ‚Beyond Wonderland‘ der Fall war. Die Stimmung des ersten Albums wird im Generellen wesentlich dunkler und
dennoch feinstofflicher ausfallen, als jenseits des
Kaninchenbaus. Das zweite ist dafür in Punkto
Stimmung heller, jedoch substanzieller angelegt,
als alles zuvor Entstandene. Beides ist in sich also
sehr widersprüchlich und jeweils eine neue Erfahrung für mich und die Hörer“, erklärt er. Meinhard wird seine Kunst auch auf dem 3. Out Of
Line Weekender zu Gehör bringen. Er lacht: „Darauf freue ich mich schon ganz besonders. Zwar
bietet das Festival leider nicht den Rahmen, was
die Kulisse betrifft, den üblichen ‚Meinhard-Bombast‘ in seiner ausuferndsten Form auf die Bühne
zu bringen, aber musikalisch wird es sowohl Eindrücke von ‚Beyond Wunderland‘, als auch das
eine oder andere neue Werk zu hören geben!“
Man darf also gespannt sein! Egal, ob man die
Band dort das erste Mal erlebt oder sich auf einen
Ausblick auf das neue Material freut, Meinhard ist
auf jeden Fall eine Entdeckung wert.
A decade of Staubkind! Few
bands have been able to
sport such an impressive
sucess story in the past few
years as the likeable Berliners. So, how do you feel
after 10 years of Staubkind,
Louis? “The first thing that
comes to mind is probably:
‘Boy, how fast time passes...” But then it has really
been ten years
since I released
the first songs
with Staubkind,
back in 2004.
Of course this
makes me proud.
Four albums, more than 100 concerts
and now we are right in the finishing
phase of the next album. So, we are
still right in the middle of everything
and there’s lots of work to be done.
But looking back and right at the moment, it couldn’t feel better.” With
their self-titled third album, the band
shot to fame really quickly. Did that
surprise you? Louis smiles: “Well, we
were pretty surprised, but as we had
been makinf music for quite some
time, it was also nice to see that we
finally reaped some success. But it
still felt unreal to play big arenas and
stadiums supporting Unheilig... which
added a few amazing memories to our
band history.” Staubkind are currently
in the studio to record the follow-up
to their last album. Is there anything
you can already disclose, Louis? “We
are nearing completion and are currently in the studio. The new album
will pick up where the last one left off.
The songs will carry the typical Staubkind signature and we have collected
so many impressions in the past years
that serve as perfect inspiration for
the new songs. One could say that the
new album will be an improved
continuation of our style. We
are again working with Henning,
which I am very happy about as
he is a brilliant producer. The
album title will be ‘Alles was ich
bin’ (all that I am.)” And what
else do you plan for your anniversary? “We want to open our
big Staubkind-photo album and
look back on the last 10 years.
There will be a series of surprises
for all our fans as it is them that
we have to thank for continuing
to exist.” Stuabkind will be the
Sunday-headliner at the 3rd Out
Of Line Weekender and the show
will be the official kick-start for
the jubilee celebrations in 2014.

10 Jahre Staubkind! Wohl
kaum eine Band hat in den
letzten Jahren eine solche
Erfolgsstory hinlegen können, wie die sympathischen
Berliner. Wie fühlt man sich
nach einer Dekade Staubkind, Louis? „Da könnte
mir zuerst einfallen ‚Wie
die Zeit vergeht...‘. Aber
tatsächlich ist schon so viel
Zeit
vergangen,
seit ich 2004 die
ersten Songs mit
Staubkind
veröffentlicht habe. Und
das macht natürlich
auch ziemlich stolz.
Vier Alben, über 100 Konzerte und jetzt sind wir mitten
im Endspurt für das neue Album. Nach wie vor also ‚mittendrin, statt nur dabei“‚und viel zu tun. Aber sowohl in
der Rückblende, als auch momentan - unfassbar toll!“ Mit
dem selbstbetitelten Album Nummer drei schoss die Band
ja ziemlich plötzlich von Null auf Hundert. Hat euch das
überrascht? Louis lacht: „Da wir ja nicht erst seit gestern
Musik machen und unterwegs sind, waren wir zwar überrascht, aber es war einfach schön, zu merken, dass sich
nach und nach immer mehr Erfolg einstellte. Nach wie
vor fühlen sich diese riesigen Stadien und Hallen, die wir
als Support von Unheilig bespielt haben, unglaublich an.
Diese Zeit haben wir einfach genossen und jeden Moment
genauso, wie er war, mitgenommen. Und all das hat jetzt
im ‚10-Jahres-Rückblick‘ ein paar ganz tolle Erinnerungen
geschaffen.“ Staubkind befinden sich zurzeit im Studio,
um einen würdigen Nachfolger zum letzten Studioalbum
einzuspielen. Was kannst du uns darüber verraten, Louis?
„Ja, wir befinden uns gerade sozusagen auf der Zielgeraden und haben uns im Tonstudio vergraben. Wir werden
definitiv dort weitermachen, wo das letzte Album aufhörte. Die Songs werden wieder typisch Staubkind sein
und ich habe in den letzten zwei Jahren so viele Eindrücke
und Erfahrungen gesammelt, von denen viele in die neuen Stücke einfließen. Ich würde sagen, den Sound des
letzten Albums haben wir weiterentwickelt. Und wir arbeiten wieder mit Henning Verlage zusammen, worüber
ich mich sehr freue. Den Album-Titel kann ich Euch schon
verraten - das Album wird „Alles was ich bin“ heißen und
genau darum wird es gehen für den Rest, lasst euch überraschen.“ Und was plant ihr sonst
noch zu eurem 10-Jährigen?
Louis strahlt: „Unser Bandjubiläum wollen wir ganz groß
feiern. Wir wollen auf jeden
Fall das ‚Staubkind-Fotoalbum‘
aufschlagen und einen großen
Rückblick auf die letzten 10 Jahre starten. Es wird im ganzen
Jahr Überraschungen für unsere Fans geben, denn ihnen haben wir unsere Bandgeschichte
schließlich zu einem großen Teil
zu verdanken.“ Staubkind sind
