With the January unveiling of a completely updated and redesigned BuickGMC sales and service center, amped up
inventory and the debut of yet another
facet of the Bommarito Experience, customers are in for a different dealership
visit.
According to John Bommarito, automotive group president, the new experience begins once guests step inside the
new, wide open spaces.
The six-month long project focused
on improving customer touchpoints.
“The goal was to make every dealership visit easy, convenient and enjoyable,” Bommarito said.
The new center also captures General
Motors’ corporate vision for its Buick
and GMC franchised retail sales and
service facilities.
“Customers love the look and feel of
the dealership,” said Chuck Wallis, vice
president.
He said the new customer lounge has
been one of the most favored destinations. Indeed, the inviting space provides the perfect spot to relax and enjoy
a freshly baked muffin or snack and
a favorite Starbucks beverage. But as
comforting as that can be, another standard Bommarito amenity is earning just
as many rave reviews from its guests: a
loaner vehicle to get them back on the
road and back to their busy schedules.
With a courtesy fleet incorporating
the full suite of Buick and GMC models
(luxury sedans to SUVs and trucks),
Wallis said drivers can expect a vehicle
similar to the one they drive.
“Cars are an expression of individuality and freedom,” he said. “We provide
courtesy cars for everyone that chooses
not to wait in the dealership.”
The dealership’s service drive also
got an expansion during renovation. The

Bommarito Buick GMC, 15736 Manchester Road, near Clarkson, recently debuted new
customer-friendly services as well as a comfortable and easy-to-navigate retail/service center
redesigned to focus on customers.

walled, gallery-style consultation area
was added. The busy service drive is also
filled on Saturdays, which is now open
from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The shop, staffed
by factory trained and certified technicians, provides the full range of light
maintenance to heavy-duty services six
days per week. Supporting the entire
service process: the Bommarito Digital
Drive Experience.
“It’s an idea born from Bommarito’s
luxury lines that is now available across
our 14 service and parts locations,”
Bommarito said.
The amenity is designed to keep
drivers updated through each stage of
the service process — from check-in
through re-delivery. Within the dealership, customers can track their vehicle’s
progress via large, strategically placed
screens. \Texts, voicemails, emails,
even a copy of applicable repair bills are
also sent to customers’ smartphones
for a seamless, transparent and connected experience. The digital drive
experience perfectly complements
another Bommarito exclusive: the
10-year/200,000-mile nationwide warranty, complimentary with every new
vehicle purchase.
Bommarito said it is America’s bestbacked warranty.
Showcased against GM’s modern
classic color scheme — a rich palette
of black and white tones mixed with
metallics — Buick and GMC’s complete
model lineup shines in the new showroom.
Three new Buicks will arrive soon,
including the much anticipated Cascada
luxury two-door convertible (the first
Buick convertible in 25 years), basepriced from $33,000; a redesigned
LaCrosse sedan; and the new Envision,
a luxury compact crossover. GMC’s new
Acadia, with room for 8, is expected this
summer.
According to Wallis, Buick’s perception-shifting marketing strategy is
effective.
“Not surprisingly, we’ve seen more
first-time Buick buyers than ever,” he
said.
The campaign includes Buick’s firstever Super Bowl spot and a digital-only
Cascada campaign featuring St. Louis’
own Ellie Kemper (“Unbreakable Kimmy
Schmidt”).
“This (facility) investment reflects
our commitment,” Bommarito said.
“The Buick and GMC product lines have
never been stronger.”
