Nr. 17 Das Judenmädchen sitzt von mir getrennt

Nr. 23 Ein Kriegstraum.
auszukennen. In der Stadt kein Krieg.
(A dream of war. At the upper left an attack. Officers are trying with all might to understand a map. No
sign of war in the city.)
(I am falling down from a staircase. Next to me and with me is my mother. I fall into awakening.)
Nr. 53 Bürgerkrieg. Ein schrecklicher Straßenkampf. Die Häuser der Stadt werden durchsichtig. Nur mehr
Haß und Morde.
(Civil war. A terrible street fight. The houses of the city become transparent. Everywhere hatred and
murder.)
Nr. 75 Der Traum vom kleinen Krokodil.
(The dream of the small crocodile. In an inn a man is sitting with his beer. Very commonplace. I am
balancing a small, very friendly crocodile.)
Nr. 82 Der Traum vom Dampfschiff. Das Schiff fährt ohne gesteuert zu werden. Ich fühle mich sicher.
(The dream of the steamer. The ship is following its course without being steered. I feel safe.)
Mein
Bruder scheint zu wissen, was es bedeutet.
(I sleep by the open window. I awake during my dream and see my dead brother. An old fashioned
carriage with a beautiful, strong white horse enters through the window. My brother seems to know what it
means.)
geschwebt. Ich habe es berührt. Es fühlt sich an wie Spinnwebe. Alles ist zum Verzweifeln unheimlich.
(Phantoms behind the town hall. A phantom floated by Charly and me towards the Lichtenfeldgasse. I
touch it. It feels like cobwebs. Everything is desperately uncanny.)
