Welcome to the 4th Energy Storage Europe
here in Düsseldorf. This year we have
joined forces with the 4th Power-to-Gas
conference as well as the 9th IRES, the
well-known International Renewable
Energy Storage Conference. This makes
Energy Storage Europe in Düsseldorf the
world leading conference and exhibition on
energy storage. It is supported by the five
internationally leading storage associations BVES, CESA, CNESA, IESA and GESA.
The conference part of this event will
offer both tutorial talks suited for the
introduction into the respective fields of
technology as well as in-depth scientific
talks at the IRES conference, which provide
the latest research results. The more than
100 talks offer an excellent basis for high
level discussions. The focus will be on
applications and markets as well as on
business models for storage solutions in
the European energy market.
In order to move ahead efficiently with the
transformation of our energy system towards a system based on one hundred percent renewable energies, we need to accelerate the development and deployment of
both centralized and decentralized storage
solutions. Flexible storage solutions are a
key component in this process, complementary to smart grids and demand-side
management, not to forget mobility. Key
issues are decreasing the costs of energy

our electric power system. The 2015 conference and exhibition, combining five events
under one roof, is expected to welcome
more than 1,500 international visitors and
about nearly 100 exhibitors. We can state,
that this Energy Storage Europe is now
amongst the most important events in the
European energy / energy storage sector.

The Energy Storage Networking Dinner and
Party has quickly become the industry’s
“must-attend event”.
The dinner and the subsequent party with
live music is considered one of the highlights at the Energy Storage Europe.
Bus transfer to the famous location in the
Altstadt (old town) will be provided.
The German Energy Storage Association (BVES)
welcomes all exhibitors, sponsors and conference attendees to their yearly “BVES-Networking-Reception” on the end of the first conference
day.
As the BVES is the main supporting partner of the
Energy Storage Europe, the yearly reception (and
subsequent Annual Members Meeting of the BVES
on the 10th) takes traditionally place alongside the
Energy Storage Europe.
Located right between conference rooms and exhibition area, we are looking forward to a meet and
greet in a casual atmosphere with a nice glass of
wine, the famous “Alt-Bier” (traditional Düsseldorf
brewed beer) and delicious finger food.
