Last weekend the second scheduled follow-up surgery of Cristian
Minculescu was performed and went according to plan. During this
operation all OP-towels, which had been left inside the abdomen for
stabilisation of the organs, could be removed - thus no further
operation is intended. The operation showed that the new liver is
good perfused and has still grown a bit; also its function is
continuously improving. Cristi Minculescu is according to the
circumstances well. He is in intensive care (ICU), but awake and
responsive. Now recovery has to be closely monitored, before
further information can be given.
His wife (and organ donor) Rodica Minculescu is recovering well, the
healing process is normal. She and the kids have already been able
to visit Cristi Minculescu in the ICU.
Next information will be released on Monday, 6th April 2009, as
no further operations are planned
and
recovery has to be
monitored.

Am Wochenende erfolgte die geplante zweite Folgeoperation von
Cristian Minculescu. Diese ist ebenfalls komplikationslos verlaufen.
Bei dieser Operation konnten alle zur Stabilisierung der Organe
bisher im Bauchraum belassenen OP-Tücher entfernt werden, daher
ist keine weitere Operation geplant. Die neue Leber ist nach wie vor
gut durchblutet und bereits weiter gewachsen. Auch die Funktion
der Leber wird zunehmend besser. Dem Patienten geht es den
Umständen entsprechend gut. Er ist noch auf Intensivstation, aber
bereits
wach
und
ansprechbar.
Bevor
Aussagen
über
einen
möglichen Entlassungstermin getroffen werden können, muss der
weitere Heilungsprozess abgewartet werden.
Die Spenderin der Leber, Frau Rodica Minculescu erholt sich gut, der
Heilungsprozess verläuft nach wie vor normal. Sie konnte ihren
Mann
zusammen
mit
den
Kindern
bereits
einige
Male
auf
Intensivstation besuchen.
Nächste Presseinformation: Da keine weiteren Operationen anstehen
und der weitere Heilungsverlauf abgewartet werden muss, ist die
nächste Pressemitteilung für Montag, 6. April, geplant.
