Dear SONIC Team Leader
Ultimate training guide
Dear SONIC Team Leader,
Table of Contents
It is my honor to welcome you to the 2014 DR PEPPER SONIC GAMES!
We are excited to have you join the fun, and hope that you encourage
your employees to stay engaged in the training process all year long.
Our goal at SONIC is to provide each guest with a positive and unique
experience, and our statistics show that not only does enrollment in
the Games correlate with higher Overall Satisfaction results, but higher
Mystery Shop results as well.
Since 1994, the DR PEPPER SONIC GAMES has been an integral part
of the overall SONIC training experience. You are in good company:
thousands of successful drive-ins have also chosen to make training
and continuing education for their employees a top priority in 2014.
Monthly call-in quizzes will help to motivate your employees to study
their e-STAR courses, and monthly Games Shops will encourage them to
go above and beyond to create a positive experience for each guest. I look
to you as the Team Leader to drive that engagement, and inspire your
crew to focus on continued quality and service improvement.
Thank you for investing in the development of your employees,
and I hope to see you in September for the National Finals.
Sincerely,
Clifford Hudson
President, Chairman and CEO
of Sonic Industries, Inc.

The e-STAR courses will continue to serve as a training resource for
new hires, as well as continuing education for current employees.
All of the material and questions for call-in quizzes, as well as
Knowledge Bowl questions, will be taken directly from the most
current e-STAR courses. These tools are available to you and your
staff 24 hours a day, seven days a week at www.esoniclearning.com.
If you have any questions, please contact the e-Learning Help Desk at
1-888-282-4392 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Central Time, 7 days a week!
Cleaning Stickers
Have a ‘Spring Cleaning Contest’! Look for cleaning stickers to
arrive at your drive-in in March. We suggest you place the stickers in
various places around the drive-in that you want your crew to focus
on cleaning - particularly those places that aren’t obvious to the eye,
but are necessary to keep clean. The crewmember that finds the
most stickers while cleaning could be given a Pull-and-Win card.
Monthly Pull-and-Win Card Drawings
The monthly prize drawing will be held on the first
day of the month from February to July. All Monthly
Drawing cards may be entered into the current
monthly drawing if received online or by mail by
the end of each month. Online: go to the Games
