An Igor Sikorsky Legacy: The Winged-S Rescue Award
Igor Sikorsky’s greatest satisfaction came from knowing the use
of the helicopter would save lives. During his 60-year career in aviation,
he accomplished many aviation “firsts,” but none equaled his pride in the
use of the helicopter for air rescue operations.
At this year’s Heli-Expo, Sikorsky was honored to recognize men and
women who put themselves in harm’s way to save others. Those receiving
the Winged-S Rescue Award receive a
personalized certificate, patch and pin –
which remains as highly valued and
prestigious today as when it was
first issued. During Heli-Expo, the Los
Angeles County Fire Department and
Bristow Helicopters were honored with
Sikorsky Rescue Awards.

In a dramatic rescue and firefighting mission, members of the Air
Operations Team, flying a Sikorsky S-70A FIREHAWK helicopter,

Era Becomes First Operator to Enter Revenue Service with Gross Weight
Expansion S-92 Helicopter
Era Group Inc.’s first Sikorsky S-92® helicopter with GWE entered into revenue
service in the Gulf of Mexico in October 2015. The GWE increases the maximum
take-off weight from 26,500 to 27,700 pounds. Era recently accepted delivery
of its second S-92 helicopter with the GWE option, and now operates a fleet
of nine Sikorsky aircraft.
“Our customers are greatly benefitting from the extra payload offered by this
S-92 helicopter,” said Chris Bradshaw, President and Chief Executive Officer,
Era Group Inc. “The safety, reliability and performance of the S-92 helicopter
makes it an optimal platform for those we serve.”
S ikorsky recognized Era as the first operator to enter revenue service with GWE S-92
helicopter at HAI Heli-Expo. The ceremony took place in front of Era’s second GWE S-92
helicopter proudly on display in Louisville, KY.
A Message from Dana Fiatarone, Vice President, Commercial Systems & Services
This year’s Heli-Expo show provided a great
opportunity for me to meet many of you, our valued
customers. I want to extend my appreciation to
all those who took the time to meet with us and
offer ideas for how we can work closer together as
Sikorsky ushers in a new chapter for our commercial
business as a Lockheed Martin company. As we
emphasized during Heli-Expo, Sikorsky is proud
to be part of Lockheed Martin and grateful to be
preserving not only the Sikorsky name but also the long heritage behind it.
Earlier this year, Sikorsky established a new, enterprise organizational
structure to refocus and provide our commercial customers the targeted
customer support needed to prepare for the rebound of the oil and gas industry.
As the recently appointed Vice President of Sikorsky’s Commercial Systems and
Services, I am honored to lead this business in support of all our commercial
customers and our highly dedicated workforce.
2
We are committed to delivering the aircraft, technological efficiencies and
sustainment to keep our customers productive and profitable. As part of the
new organizational structure, Bill Gostic now serves as Vice President, Global
Military Systems and Services, and continues to lead critical international
military aircraft and support efforts.
Nathalie Previte continues as Vice President, Sales & Marketing, and the
dedicated Sikorsky Sales and Customer Support teams will ensure you receive
the services and products that create value for your business.
As you may have read in the media, Lockheed Martin has publicly
reinforced its commitment to Sikorsky’s commercial business. The addition
of Sikorsky extends Lockheed Martin’s core business into the growing areas
of helicopter production and sustainment as it pursues its interest in
increasing commercial business as a growth opportunity. Combined,
Sikorsky and Lockheed Martin will bring new innovative capabilities to
commercial helicopters and all our customers. I look forward to growing our
relationship and to continued success together.

available whenever and wherever they need to fly.”The initiatives include
the opening of a new Customer Care Center based in Trumbull, Connecticut,
and manned 24-hours-a-day by a focused, interdisciplinary team of experts
working urgent customer needs as well as longer term availability and
reliability improvements. 24/7 customer service is available at 1-800-WINGED-S.
Sikorsky has also opened its first-ever Forward Stocking Location (FSL)

FINAL BRIEFING
Sikorsky Unites with the International Helicopter
Safety Team (IHST) for Helicopter Safety
Boston MedFlight Advances
Technology and Safety
On March 2, Sikorsky President Dan Schultz
and Sergei Sikorsky presented Rick Kenin, General
Manager of Aviation Operations and members
of the Boston MedFlight crew with an award to
honor their commitment to safety and collaboration
in the industry.
Sikorsky unites with the International Helicopter Safety Team (IHST) for helicopter safety.
The International Helicopter Safety Team (IHST) was re-chartered during a signing ceremony
at the 2016 HAI Heli-Expo on March 2. More than a dozen leaders from helicopter manufacturers,
industry associations, and government officials within North America, Europe, South America and Asia
participated in the signing ceremony.
The IHST was formed in 2006 with the goal of reducing helicopter accidents by 80 percent over 10
years. While the IHST is moving closer to that goal, George Klug, Sikorsky VP and Chief Safety Officer,
Environmental, Health, and Safety, said it is important that the group’s work continue.
“Safety is, and always will be, Sikorsky’s highest priority,” said George Klug. “We are committed to
enhancing flight safety, sharing best practices and cooperating with independent safety initiatives
with customers, operators and industry partners to further improve safety. Collaborating with the IHST
is just one way work to improve safety in the helicopter industry.”
For more than six years, Boston MedFlight
has worked with industry leaders and regulators
to understand the complexities in Point-InSpace (PINs) GPS approach. Using the S-76C++
helicopter, they were able to find a solution that
enhances safety and improves the lives of those
in their community. It is an integral part of the
northeastern United States’ healthcare delivery
system, supporting the five major Boston area
hospitals and operating in one of the nation’s
busiest airspace, Boston’s Logan Airspace.
This publication contains forward-looking statements concerning future
business opportunities. Actual results may differ materially from those
projected as a result of certain risks and uncertainties, including but not
limited to changes in procurement priorities and practices or in the number
of aircraft to be built; challenges in the design, development, production and

including but not limited to those detailed from time to time in Lockheed
Martin’s Securities and Exchange Commission filings.
