Eon Hoon
Eon Hoon is a Cape Town based jeweller and the
owner, designer and manufacturer of Eon Hoon
Jewellery Design. He graduated with a BTech in
Jewellery Design and Manufacture. During his
studies he won the 2005 PlatAfrica’s most creative
design award in the student category.
Eon’s jewellery can be described as humorous, symbolic and even
slightly satirical in some ways. He is a truly mzansi jewellery designer
with a tongue in cheek attitude and a different outlook on everyday
objects.
CaBo
CaBo was started by two friends, Anja Capuzzimati and Mariaan van
Zyl, whose passion for ceramics and clothing is the heart and soul of
their business.
They currently produce a wide range of decor and
homeware as well as bespoke women’s
accessories. Their Capetonian influence inspires
all of their designs.

The lovely ladies working for Marissa can now afford to fly home to
Zimbabwe twice a year to see their children where previously they
could only afford one trip by bus every two years
Ranzani Design
Christian Ranzani founded Ranzani Trading
Design upon his return to Cape Town after 10
years abroad. He believes that Cape Town has an
eclectic mix of cultures that inspire with their
creativity and vibrancy. It is Ranzani Design’s
mission to help local SMMEs and communities to
turn their creativity into business.
Wild Rhubarb
Tatum Lataste's textile designs are created from original hand drawn
sketches. They originate from a simple line drawing, inspired by nature,
to a silk screen. Finally, she hand prints it on natural cottons, linens and
hemp.
The fabrics are made in South Africa using the
highest SABS approved standards. Each item is
made with love and care by hand. All of Tatum's
products reflect our commitment to sustainability,
fair trade and supports the local market.
Lara Kelbe is the creative designer behind Misc
Clothing. Her range consists of womens
workwear focused on comfort, quality and
effortless style.
She upcycles sarees to create beautiful bespoke
pieces for your wardrobe. Due to the cut of a
saree, each piece is so to speak - one of a kind.
Grassbacks
Sibusiso Mbonambi is the creative mind behind
Grassbacks, a range of men’s snapbacks made
from woven grass. These trendy caps is what
happened when the traditional fedora straw hat
met the street snapback. Grassback caps bring
style to sustainability.
Cape to Cali
Marissa Brendel is the creative heart behind
AfriDiva, a fashion label who makes use of
100% recycled materials. All their beautiful
necklaces, for example, are handmade out of
recycled CocaCola cans! Their necklaces are
stamped out of sheets of Coca Cola cans.
Sasha Leon
Sasha Leon is the creative behind Sasha
Leon Sculpture & Jewellery. Her designs
portray an unrivalled and unique mzansi
flavour. After training as a goldsmith she
then completed her fine art degree
majoring in sculpture at the University of
Cape Town’s Michaelis School of Fine Art.
Sasha is most content when expressing her creativity in the
fullness of three dimensions whether in jewellery or art. She
works from her home studio looking out over Table Mountain
where she lives with her husband, two children, dog and cat.
Cape to Cali is a range of handcrafted
accessories that is inspired by colourful cultures.
Alonya van Rooyen, the creative designer, is
heavily influenced by both her Capetonian
upbringing and her current, Californian, lifestyle.
These beautiful African prints are fused with the
simplicity of the Californian (and Capetonian) laid
back lifestyle.
Alonya started Cape to Cali after she lost her sister to cancer over 2
years ago. Her sister's passing only cemented Alonya's belief that life
is too short not to live your dream.
Clari Design
Chantel Clarijs is the creator of Clari Design, a handmade clothing
and accessory label. The Clari product line is exceptional quality yet
value for money. Chantel fell in-love with fashion design and other
pretty things at the age of 16.
She studied Textile & Surface design where she
learnt to make use of every last piece of material
available to her. Not only is Chantel able to see
the immense potential in the small things, she
has the creative ability to follow through on it.
Naturals Beauty
Naturals Beauty is a beauty products range that
is handcrafted in small, fresh batches.
Tanya Du Bois, the creative drive behind the
range, always uses the highest quality natural
ingredients as well as organic ingredients
wherever possible as part of her commitment to
making products that are free from petrochemicals, parabens,
synthetic fragrances and harmful chemicals.
Mathilde & Co
Gwen Gosselin from Mathilde & Co has seen
and done it all. This self-taught creative
entrepreneur aims to adorn your children’s room
with colourful toys, beautiful dresses and much
more. These stunning products are made from
proudly South African, bright shweshwe fabrics.
