Here you will find a lively cultural and an adorable beautiful natural landscape that fills you with energy and a

camping, hiking, canoeing, swimming, fishing, riding
Icelandic horses, going to the markets, trotting horse
races, art exhibitions and music festivals. This part of
Småland is mostly untouched.

We offer accommodation for horses in horse boxes or paddocks.
Tingsryds Riding School, next to Tingsryd Resort also offers tours on scenic
riding trails from the beginning of June to the 19 June and again in August.
Train at Medley in the summer!
From 15 June to 9 August the gym at Medley Vattenpalatset Kaskad offers
12 group training sessions per week, outdoors at Tingsryd Resort. We will be
offering training sessions in BODY BALANCE, SH’BAM, BODY COMBAT,
MULTI, GRIT CARDIO and CX WORK. You can read more details about the
various training sessions on their Homepage at: medley.se
The training sessions are entirely free, no pre-booking is necessary, you just
“turn up”.
Everyone from the age of 14 and up is welcome to participate. (SH’BAM and
BODY COMBAT will be training sessions for the whole family where children
from the age of 10 years are welcome when accompanied by an adult). The
training sessions will be cancelled in the event of bad weather.

You can expect to catch walleye, pike and
perch in Lake Tiken. Fish from the dock, or
from the shore. Rowboats, with or without
electric motors, are available for hire from
reception.
Bring your own gear, or buy everything you
need here including your fishing license and
map. Hours of fun for the family and the
experienced angler!
There are also several other fine fishing lakes
in the surrounding area e.g. Åsnen, Ygden,
Mien and Kulagölen where you can fish for
rainbow trout. Salmon fishing can be found in
Morrum 45 km away.

The Southeast Trail
- cykling path
Destination
Lake Åsnen
The Southeast Trail for cycling is about 270 kilometres
long and stretches between the cities of Växjö and
Simrishamn. You can already ride 40 kilometres north and
south from Tingsryd and it maintains a high international
standard in the class with the established cycle routes in
Europe. Around Tingsryd the landscape is moderately
undulating and there are many sights to see along the
trail. The many lakes along the trail offer a chance to cool
off wherever you are.
The trail is mainly on cycle paths, but on some short
stretches you will have to cycle along with other traffic.

tourist destination since the early 1900´s due to the Spa
Health Resort that was in existence back then. Today our
Tingsryd Resort is growing and expanding in many health
and recreation arenas to accommodate every need of our
visitors all year round. Our resort attracts tourists from
many countries as well as local residents and we strive
to continually meet new challenges and to stay at the
forefront and offer our guests all the latest in recreational
activities. This would not be possible without the help and
hard work of our very professional and highly skilled staff,
as well as countless loyal visitors. We
enjoyed approximately 60 000
overnight guests in 2014.
Our vision for the future of
Tingsryd Resort encompasses many exciting developments, which include
taking the necessary steps
to becoming a five star
resort. We will be adding
more cabins, camping plots
and an outdoor swimming
pool. We plan to expand
our conference facility and to
eventually build an apartment
hotel overlooking beautiful Lake
Tiken. In addition to this there is
a proposal put forward by the Lions
Club, in cooperation with Tingsryd’s Municipality, to construct an outdoor playground
by the park.
There are also plans to build an outdoor stage on the
lakeshore, as well as a swimming lagoon complete with
a jetty, which will make the area even more attractive to
visitors and become a landmark for Tingsryd. Tingsryds
Tennis Club is currently discussing the possibility of building an indoor tennis complex at Mårdslycke.
The future for tourism in Tingsryd looks very bright indeed.
Many projects are in progress, which will in turn increase
the number of tourists visiting the area. The “Destination
Åsnen” project is beginning to take shape and you can already cycle 40 kilometres north and south from Tingsryd.
Additional attractions for visitors include Tingsryd Market,
which is one of the largest markets in Sweden, the harvest
festival in October, and the internationally famous Korrö
Folk Music Festival, a Municipality-wide art tour in September, trotting horse racing and the Börjes Cup horse
jumping competition, which is one of the most coveted
events in Sweden. All these events keep our campground
in constant demand throughout the year.
Tingsryd Resort has many advantages over other resorts
in attracting tourists due to the fact that they have so
much to offer in one location. For example:- here you can
enjoy four star camping with an excellent restaurant and
lovely lakeside views, a conference centre, 4 star camping
and cabin complex, party room, spa
with sauna and Jacuzzi, boutique,
ice cream bar, tourist information, beauty salon, hair stylists
and massage therapist. The
activity complex here includes:bathing, playground, tennis
courts, fishing, beach volleyball, minigolf, hiring of boats
and canoes, a horse riding
centre, daily horse and carriage rides, walking distance to
Medley Vattenpalatset Kaskad
(an adventure waterpark) and a
circus with a daily performance for
all the family during the high season.
Another advantage here is the location in
the middle of adorable countryside while still
being close to all amenities and having notable
sights to see only a short car journey away. All this in a
hiking and cycling paradise close to several golf courses.
Tingsryd Resort itself can be mentioned here as it is so
well kept and of the highest standard. All the wonderful events that take place in and around the Resort are
greatly appreciated by our guests. I should also point out
that all of our professional personnel do a fantastic job in
ensuring that our guests enjoy a wonderful holiday here.
It is with enthusiasm, pride and joy that we look forward to
the upcoming season where we can already see a marked
increase in the number of guests. May I wish you a very

restaurant complex.
The newly started Academy of Music & Business and the
Wasa Hockey School have created a wonderfully positive
impact on the community and tourism. We will also be
strengthening our cooperation with TIRK and developing
horse sport tourism. Additional attractions to the area are
Börjes Department Store and Horse Sport Store, Medley
Adventure Waterpark, Tingsryd´s shopping centre, Hammarplast Factory Outlet and a variety of car dealerships.
We are even developing fishing tourism.

Ljushuset i Urshult
En mil från campingen ligger Urshult och
där finns den en ljusfabrik med tillhörande
affär. I ljushuset tillverkas det många unika
ljus, framförallt Urshultsljuset som brinner i
ca 160 tim. I den 150 kvadratmeter stora
affären finns det över 100 olika sorters ljus
och där kan du även göra ett eget ljus.
Ljushuset är värt ett besök om så bara
för att titta på all färgprakt som möter en
när man kommer in och dessutom känna
doften av stearin.
