more than 42 million SMEs who produce over 50% of Chinese GDP.
 99.5% of all businesses in China fall into the SME category.

Kenya is very focused on developing SMEs.
Its 2030 Vision lead to the 2011 SME Act and the focus of taxation, training and
development within this sector.
 The Kenya government has defined an SME formally registered business with

The definition of an SME varies in Russia to the standard definitions.
A micro business is seen as having 1 – 15 employees and a turnover of 2 million
roubles, a Small business has 15 – 100 employees (turnover of 10 million) and a
Medium one has 101 – 250 (turnover 43 million).
 On January 24th 2014 the Russian Government announced a major package of
measures to support small and medium enterprises, including new tax breaks,
government contracts, and subsidies worth about $630 million.
