HISTORY

Kg. Malaysia Raya got it’s approval as a Malay Village from Pejabat Tanah
Mukim Petaling which was under Selangor State Government in 1969.
The early settlement of Kg. Malaysia Raya, the relocation of resident from 4
location:

HISTORY
Kg. Malaysia Raya
Kg. Malaysia Raya got it’s name from from A SHIP ; MALAYSIA RAYA. This ship was
used by The Malaysian Government for sending Muslim Pilgrimage to Haj in
Mecca. This ship was caught on fire in 1976. Since then, airplane was us to
replace the ship. “MALAYSIA RAYA” was perpetuate as the name of our Kampung.

Although crime is down for Jan-June 2013 compared with the first half of 2012,
the number of murders and robberies with firearms has risen.
According to police statistics released by the Performance Management and
Delivery Unit (Pemandu), indexed crime for the period of January-June 2012
totalled 76,247 reported cases. This dropped by 2,120 cases to 74,127 in 2013.
However, cases of violent crime increased from 14,811 to 15,098 over the same
period. Of this figure, robbery (including gang robbery) with firearms also
increased, from 69 cases to 74.
Murders rose from 291 cases in the first six months of 2012 to 322 cases in
2013.
The worst-hit month of 2013 so far was June, with 14 gang robberies with
firearms and three robberies with firearms.

Social disorders are conditions of
society which cause other disorderly
and immoral things to occur. These
include things like negative peer
pressure, traumatic experiences, social
prejudices, and propaganda. Social
disorders function for a society much
like a disease does to the body
deteriorating it from within.
WHERE TO START ?
Since the beginning of The Kg. Malaysia Raya’s Community in
the early 1970’s, the safety and the well-being of our
community was handled by separate organizations existed
together with the formation of the community. Organization
existed such as The Religious Surau Committee, Political Parties
and the Founder’s Informal Committee.
This make the community split in their decisions and actions
into different groups on any given communities issue.
WHERE TO START ?
In year 2000, the second generation of Kg. Malaysia Raya take a
giant steps to restructure our community to be more organizes
and to unite communities members with the aim to transform
The Kg. Malaysia Raya’s Community so that we are able to live
in peace and harmony.
In 8th October 2002, Kg. Malaysia Raya Community Association
was formed and registered with Malaysian Registry of Societies.

members and members the live in
the community by renting are allow
to become Associate Members of our
association.

present,

members are 196.

OUR ROLE.
Reduce and Preventing Crime.
The whole community of Kg. Malaysia agrees and recognizes
the needs to make Kg. Malaysia Raya safe from crime, fear of
crime and social disorder created by it.
This matter was raised in the AGM Meeting of Kg. Malaysia
Raya Community Association in 2002. A resolution on the
matter was passed and shall be implemented by the
committee.
It was decided that “RUKUN TERTANGGA” (Neighborhood
Watch) under Department of National Unity and Integration
(JPNIN) is the best medium to achieved community secure
environment.
