UNIVERSAL PRIMARY CONTEST
Democratic, Nonpartisan, and Republican ballots will contain
the Republican contest for State Attorney - 7th Judicial Circuit in
accordance with the State of Florida Division of Elections Rule
IS2.002 & IS 2.032. When a primary election has a contest in
which all candidates have the same party affiliation and the winner
will have no opposition in the general election, all qualified electors
may vote on the contest regardless of party affiliation.

If the picture identification does not contain the signature of the voter,
an additional identification that provides the voter’s signature shall be
required. If the voter fails to furnish the require identification, he or she
shall be allowed to vote a provisional ballot.
Your voter information card is no longer a required form of identification, but
a very helpful resource to be used as it contains your name and residence
address as it appears on the registration rolls, as well as your precinct
number and the district in which you are eligible to vote.

Voting Site that is operational prior
to Election Day.
Absentee Ballots may not be
dropped off at the polls. If a
voter decides to vote at the polls,
the absentee ballot needs to be
cancelled by the poll worker and the
voter will be issued a replacement
ballot.
Voted Absentee Ballots must
be received at the Supervisor of
Elections office in DeLand by 7
p.m. on Election Day in order to
be counted.

Florida residents must be registered
to vote at least 29 days before an
election to be eligible to vote in that
election.
EARLY VOTING
Beginning August 11, 2008, and ending August 23, 2008,
Volusia County registered voters may go to any one of
five (5) sites in the county and cast their ballot prior to the
Primary Election.
Early Voting hours of operation are:
Monday - Saturday; 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
