SQ2 SANITARY SAMPLE COOLER SPECIFICATION Pressure Equipment Directive
SQ2 SANITARY SAMPLE COOLER SPECIFICATION
Pressure Equipment Directive
The SQ2 Sanitary Sample Cooler is exempt from CE marking as PED
7/23/EC and has been designed and manufactured in accordance with Sound
Engineering Practice.
General
The SQ2 Sanitary Sample Cooler has been designed to cool clean steam to
allow it to be safely sampled with the minimum risk of sample contamination.
It may also be used to cool samples of hot water, typically Water for Injection.
The SQ2 Sample Cooler is designed within the general requirements of the
ASME BPE Standard, all wetted components have a surface finish ≤ Ra 0.25
µm (SFT4) and have material certification to EN 10204 type 3.1.

Each of the sample and cooling water connections is permanently marked to
correspond with the information on the label.
A Job Number is needle engraved onto the sample outlet pipe of each cooler
to provide a unique/batch number which corresponds with that provided on
the front of each manual/documentation package.
