First big news item…….NO SCHOOL ON OCTOBER 10! So please be sure you
don’t send your kiddos to school tomorrow as the teachers will all be in class.

This Sunday, October 12, one of our own high school students, Nathan Mitchell,
will be serving Mass on television at 10:00 on a local channel. Father Pietramale
was not quite sure which number the channel will be, he said possibly 5 or 8.
Father also said that Nathan did a beautiful job as a server.

As many of you know our football team will be playing in Lincoln on October 18
and 19. We won’t know the exact times until next week and will let you know in
the next newsletter. So, during SPIRIT WEEK we will do the following_
Monday-Hat Day-Wear your favorite hat.
Tuesday-Mix/Match Day-Crazy shoes and socks
Wednesday-Pajama Day-Wear your favorite pj’s, robe and slippers
Thursday-Madonna Blue Day!-Wear Madonna Blue to support the team. A short
pep rally will be held at 3:00.
Friday-NO SCHOOL-Enjoy your day off.

Angel Fare Luncheon & Bake Sale October 22 – The Madonna Council is once
again sponsoring the Angel Fare Luncheon and Bake Sale at Champion’s Run
on Wednesday, 10/22. Please join us if you can and bring family and friends!
Part of what makes the event a success is the bake sale, and we encourage all
Madonna School families to contribute items we can sell. They can be delivered

to Madonna School all day Tuesday the 21 or on Wednesday the 22 by 8 am
when you drop off your student(s). Please package and price your items.

Large individual items $1-$3
Please mark items that contain nuts, are gluten free etc.
Feel free to adjust the pricing if needed. For example, if you
make jumbo monster cookies and want to package them
individually you can price them at $1 or $2 each.

Some of our students will also be attending the Fare to provide entertainment. We
hope everyone will consider attending this worthwhile event.
From Maggie Barnes…
This week in art class the students will be making “Imaginary Creatures”! Perhaps there
will be a Halloween influence? We will have to wait and see! They will be using air dry
clay and they will be ready to paint next week. Students can take them home after they
are dry. Look for some amazing creatures!
