Grades K—9th
This league is designed to teach and enhance basketball skills in a
recreational and fun atmosphere. Sportsmanship and learning are key
components of the program. The league will consist of six divisions of
play: K-2 coed, Boys 3-4, 5-6 & 7-9 and Girls 3-5, 6-9.
Practices will begin in mid-December. Games will begin in January
and continue through March.

Program Information
Important Dates
Location/Times: Games for all ages will be played on Saturday
between 9am and 4pm depending on the # of teams formed.
Early Registration Open—Monday, October 20th

Games will be played at Rim High School in the Old and New
Gymnasium. 27400 State Hwy. 18 Lake Arrowhead, CA 92352
Registration Open—Tuesday, October 28th

Team practices are held in the evenings during the week; times
will be determined by the coaches and the available gym space.
Location TBD.

Parent/Volunteer Participation
In order to provide a successful program, we need your help. Without volunteer coaches, teams cannot exist. Therefore, if we do not
receive enough volunteer coaches we can not create teams leaving
some participants on a waiting list. Let’s make it possible for all
children to participate. Your help is much appreciated. Please let us
know if you would like to volunteer as a Coach, Assistant Coach,
Team Parent, Time/Scorekeeper, or Referee.


K-2nd Grade $80
&
3rd - 9th Grade $90
Early registration opens October 20th and closes October 27th.
All Early registration participants get $10 off per player.

Basic Registration Closes no later then — Friday, November 21st
Coach’s Clinic & Skills Day:
Mandatory Coach Clinic— Saturday, December 6th at 10am-12pm
Mandatory Skills Day—Saturday, December 6th at 12:30pm-2:30pm
(For Boys Divisions 5-6, 7-9 and Girls Divisions 6-9)
Skill day (or Evaluation Clinic) allows coaches to evaluate the
children's abilities by doing various basketball skills and activities.
Registrations will not be taken during this time.

Practices Begin:

Basic Registration opens October 28th and closes no later then
November 21st.

All refund request must be submitted in writing and will incur a
$10 service fee and any administrative cost if necessary. No
refunds will be made after January 1, 2015.
First Games:
A signed parents code of ethics and agreement waiver and
release form are required at the time of registration. All new
program participants must bring a copy of his/her birth
certificate at the time of registration.
Final Games:


Boys Divisions 5-6, 7-9 and Girls Divisions 6-9 teams are formed
by a draft and must attend the Skills Day.

Game day Inclement weather notifications will be posted via email
and/or on the Rim of the World Recreation and Park District
Facebook page prior to Saturday’s games. There will be absolutely no
team practices if the School District calls a snow day. The school
facilities will be closed.

Your child is participating in a youth sports program under the Rim of the
World Recreation and Park District. We are a community whose goals are to
promote self-esteem of all players just for participating, regardless of individual athletic ability or the final score of any athletic contest. Your role as a
spectator has significant impact upon the success of our program. Therefore,
we need you to fully understand and completely accept the standards of
behavior which are detailed below.

2014/2015 Youth Basketball Program (October 2014 - March 2015)
AGREEMENT, WAIVER AND RELEASE
In consideration for being permitted by the above district to participate in the above activity, I hereby waive, release and
discharge any and all claims for damages for personal injury, death or property damage which I may have, or which may hereafter
accrue to me, as a result of participation in said activity. This release is intended to discharge in advance the above named district
(its officers, employees and agents) from any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with my participation in said
activity, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities mentioned
above. It is understood that this activity involves an element of risk and danger of accidents and knowing those risks I hereby
assume those risks. It is further agreed that this waiver, release and assumption of risk is to be binding on my heirs and assigns. I
agree to indemnify and to hold the above person or entities free and harmless from any loss, liability, damage, cost or expense
which they may incur as the result of my death or any injury or property damage that I may sustain while participating in said
activity.
PARENTAL CONSENT: (to be completed and signed by parent/guardian if applicant is under 18 years of age) I hereby consent that

participate in the above activity, and I hereby execute the above Agreement, Waiver and Release on his/her behalf. I state that
