COMPETITOR ELIGIBILITY
 Competitors eligible to take part in the event must be in possession of a valid annual WOMZA Oval Race
License. Vehicles must comply with WOMZA class requirements as at date of event. (Please specify
any class Registrations at venue) The Competitor is to have a least entered 4 home club events prior to
entering into this Championship.
 The Promoter and WOMZA have the full right to refuse a competitor entry, if the competitor has not met
the qualifications criteria and if his/her vehicle does not comply with the criteria.
Tyres regulation at the national event:

Each Competitor is limited to 5 tyres for a National Championship Eventin the class;

This limitation on tyres is restricted to usage in the Heats and Final at each event and not for practice runs;
CLASSES AND STATUS:
 The Organizers of WELKOM MOTORSPORT CLUB reserves the right to cancel any race or heat of the
race for support classes.
ENTRIES
 Entries open immediate and close on 26 September 2014 by 15:00.
 Tickets: Driver plus 2 in tow vehicle to enter free.
 Gate entry Fee for Spectators:
 ADULTS @ R 50.00 PER PERSON
 KIDS (6 – 12 YEARS) @ R 20.00 PER PERSON
 TRACK SIDE PARKING @ R 50.00 PER VECHILE
 Any competitor arriving after the close of documentation will only be permitted to race with the permission
of the Event Directorsand will forfeit the right to be included in the draw for grid positions or qualifying.
The Organizers reserve the right to accept or reject an entry, with provision that the refusal can only be
with the express authority of WOMZA. After business hours the refusal can only be with the express
permission of the Event Directors.
 Driver’s entry R 500.00
R 300.00 WILL BE REFUNDED TO THE COMPETITOR ON THE DAY
 Late Entry Penalty (after the 14 day entry date): R500.00
 Competitors may only enter into the class they qualified for, i.e., 4 club events in the class theyare
entering into the championship event.

GENERAL
Pit Area:
 No private car will be allowed into the pit area. Trailers are to be left in are indicated by the Organizers.
No unauthorized vehicles will be allowed into the pit area. No alcohol and Smoking will be allowed in the
pit areas.
Signals:
 Flags as per WOMZA GRR25 with robots.
Accidents, Retirements, Protest and Appeals:
 Retirement must be reported to pit Marshalls / Scorers without delay. Protest forms are available from
the Race Secretary and the competitor concerned must submit protest within the time limits. Refer to
GRR 29 – GRR 35 of the WOMZA Handbook.
Format
 Draw, invert, final (laps for heats = cars plus 2 with a minimum of 14 and a 20 lap final.
Grid Positions, scoring and Results: Refer to GRR 23:
 Grid positions will be posted on the notice board. The event will run on a TWO heats and FINAL format.
The Organizers in consultation with the Clerk of the Course will finalize the number of cars per race and
racing sequence. The heats and final will be scored according to the following:
1st place
2nd place
3rd place

Reducing down to 1
The results of the completion of the last heat will be posted on the notice board as soon as possible after release.
The final results of the event will be posted at the venue of the prize giving function.
Postponement, abandonment or cancellation:
 This meeting will not be cancelled, postponed or abandoned without the consent of WOMZA and/or Event
Directors. In the event of force majeure, The Rock Raceway is granted permission to host the event the
following day (Sunday 17 November 2013)
TROPHIES AND PRIZE GIVING:
 Trophies and Awards will be given according to 1st, 2nd and 3rd over the line in the final heat. The
Organizers reserve the right to increase the awards. Any competitor having earned a trophy will forfeit it
if he/she does not attend the prize giving or arrange his/her absence with the Clerk of the
Course/Secretary of the Meeting. She/he will also be responsible for advising who will be collecting the
trophy on his/her behalf. Subject to the time limit for protests the prize giving function is to be held in the
Club House as advised to competitors at the driver’s briefing not later than HALF HOUR after the last
race. Should any class be affected by a protest or post event scrutiny by a protest or post event scrutiny
the prize giving will not be delayed, but will proceed without the last class (es) so affected. All
competitors, their families and pit crew members are welcome to attend. Seating is strictly on a first
served basis. Competitors are advised that the prize giving is still a part of the event and any misconduct
will be dealt with under WOMZA Handbook. RIGHT OF ADMISSION RESERVED (REFER GRR 99)
