On September 12th, Reserve
Officer Jonah Bauer was
presented with a Lifesaving
Award by Chief Andy
Bohlen. On January 25th, Ofc.
Bauer responded to an assault
call. He found an assault male
lying on the ground, the victim
of a stabbing. Ofc. Bauer determined the male was not breathing and did not have a pulse.
Ofc. Bauer administered CPR to
the victim, even as bystanders
interfered and tried to pull Ofc.
Bauer away from the victim.
The victim regained a pulse and
was transported to District

also received a written commendation for his assistance in
the life-saving event.
Domestic Assault Arrest
On Thursday, October 2nd,
Officers Mallory House,
Matt Shuda and Ben Johns
responded to a reported domestic assault. The victim reported her former boyfriend
had come to her residence in
violation of a previously issued
Domestic Abuse No Contact
Order (DANCO). The suspect
verbally and physically abused
the victim throughout the evening. The suspect was confronted
by a co-worker of the victim,
and when he realized he was
calling the police, the suspect
ran away. Ofc. Johns found the
suspect, Jason Monsebroten, 22,
a short distance away. He was
arrested and jailed without incident. Monsebroten was charged
with 3rd Degree Assault, Domestic Assault and Violation of a
DANCO. His bail was set at
$40,000 without conditions.

attended a week-long investigations course sponsored by the
Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.
The course covered a variety of
investigative techniques and
methods.

As school started up, Detective Kara Christensen spent
much of her time this month
getting to know students and
helping them acclimate to the
high school. She reports several narcotics, harassment and
driving incidents as her most
frequent activity.

Forgot That Was In There
On Wednesday, October 1st,
members of the Cannon River
Drug and Violent Offender
Task Force received information on the whereabouts of
a wanted person. The suspect,
Zachary Savoie, 23, was the
subject of numerous warrants
for failing to appear in court.
The agents found Savoie in a
local business, and, as he was
exiting the building, apprehended him without incident. Officer Matt Shuda arrived to
transport Savoie to jail. As he
was searching Savoie, despite
telling Ofc. Shuda that he had
turned over everything in his
pockets, a small baggie was
found in his pants pocket containing what appeared to be
drugs. The substance fieldtested positive for methamphetamine. In addition to his
warrants, Savoie was charged
with 2nd Degree Controlled
Substance - Possession. His bail
was set at $30,000 without
conditions.
