PCC. At this week’s PCC meeting we
looked at church growth and things
that create and encourage growth. On
the subject of staffing, Malcolm
reported that the diocese are
sympathetic to us having a second
stipendiary minister but that there is
no housing available. Laurence Smith
will join us as curate from 2015. The
youth work is currently being covered
by Chris Hood, who is running
Amplify, and Graham Unsworth who is
running The Fridge. We reviewed
parish policies, and it was noted that
we need to appoint a new
Safeguarding Officer. Colin Firth gave
a financial report, and we discussed
next year’s contribution to the parish
share. The PCC endorsed the decision
taken by St Mary’s committee to
submit a faculty request for the
kitchen, and agreed to the Hyndman
Centre
Management
Committee
spending funds to put up fencing. PCC
also endorsed revisions to the
insurance policies for all 3 of our
buildings.
