Church Charge Conference Sunday, November 9th, 7:00 pm
The annual Church Charge Conference for New Horizon is Sunday, November 9 th at Christ Church, 4845 NE 25th
Ave, Fort Lauderdale, 33308. There will be worship led by DS Rev. Craig Nelson at 6:00 pm and our Conference
will begin at 7:00 pm. All church members are encouraged to come and vote. We have a list of people we haven’t
seen in a number of years posted on the hallway bulletin board. Let the church office know if you have information
on any of them.
October is Pastor Appreciation Month
*Ask them what you could do to assist them with their ministry
*Invite others to hear them preach
*Support them with your participation and financial resources
*Pray daily for your pastors
*Invite them to a meal with your family
Just a brief note, email or phone call of gratitude for pastors can give them a lift and positive encouragement
for their 24-7 job doing whatever they can to make life better for you.
New Horizon is a mission minded church. During the year we have many outreach giving opportunities local,
national and international. We ask you to prayerfully consider which projects you are comfortable in supporting,
knowing that you may not wish to support all of them. We thank you for all that you do to help others .
Encounter ∙ Experience ∙ Extend
A small shoebox can teach a child about the love of God. What goes in is simple, what comes out is eternal.
Be part of changing children’s lives! During October our Tweens are collecting donations of school supplies, small
toys, hygiene items, hair clips, & socks. Also needed: $7 per shoebox to help cover shipping. Please leave items in
the bin in the lobby. Our Tweens will be packing the shoeboxes Sunday, November 2 nd.

Youth News
We are blessed with a growing youth group! This weekend is
their youth retreat in Lake Placid. A wonderful time of coming
together, welcoming former youth, and seeing God in a different
way. We had fifty youth and ten adults taking part in this event.
Transportation continues to be one of our issues. We rented a
tour bus to accommodate our numbers. We welcome any
donation to help defray this cost of $45 pp.
Spirituality, Worship, & Prayer Sat., 9:30 am
9:00 am quiet, individual prayer. At 9:30 am Pastor Barb will
bring a focusing scripture and reflection. We will then continue
with anointing and prayers for healing as the Spirit leads us.
Joy Circle, Monday, October 27th, 9:30 am
All women are invited to join us for our program, coffee and
fellowship at 9:30 am on Monday for our monthly meeting.
