*Call to Worship
Leader: As a shepherd seeks a lost sheep,
People: so God seeks and saves the lost.
Leader: Like a woman who searches for a lost coin until it is found,
People: so God rejoices over one soul restored to wholeness.
Leader: As a father receives a returning wayward son,
People: so God welcomes us, and lets the past be the past.
Leader: Therefore let us praise God in thanksgiving that we are received.
People: Let us receive and welcome and rejoice over one another
in the name of Jesus Christ.

Morning Prayers, Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power,
and the glory, forever. Amen.
Welcome! Greeters & ushers will be happy to help you find
our Nursery, Prayer Room, restrooms, and provide assisted
listening aids. The Welcome Center, in our Sanctuary Lobby,
has more information about West Lawn UMC. First, second &
third-time guests: please fill out a “Welcome Guests” card to let us know that you
worshipped with us today— we are happy you are here! Visit our HeBrews Café,
located on the lower level of the Sanctuary at 9:00 am or 10:30 am to enjoy refreshments with friends in Christ.

On June 8, 2014, during the four
morning worship services at West
Lawn UMC, the members of both
New Journey/Nueva Jornada and
West Lawn UMCs voted overwhelmingly in favor of merging their
two churches. The New Journey/
Nueva Jornada members voted 28-0
in favor of the merger. The West
Lawn members voted in favor of the
merger by 414-12, with 13 abstentions. With the strong support of
both congregations, the merger
team, leadership and staff of both
churches will move forward with
completing the legal merger of these
two churches, both of which are
Pennsylvania non-profit corporations. The pastors would like to express their appreciation for the
prayerful consideration of all
throughout this process, and look
forward to God’s leading us in new
ways and in new ministries in the
days and years ahead as we seek to
make disciples of Jesus Christ for the
transformation of the world.
Thanks to all who have helped us
meet the cost of installation of our
new air conditioning system. To date
$23,476 has been received. Thank you
for your support and your gifts - past,
present, and future.
