Provisional Timetable
Fig Gala will be held three times at Helsinki Ice Hall:
Friday July 17, 2015 starting at 6.00 pm and 9.00 pm
Saturday July 18, 2015 at 10.00 am
On-line ticket sales will start on February 2015. Before that the participants can book their tickets from
FIG Member Federations in connection with the Definitive Registrations.
National Afternoons
The FIG GfA Committee has decided that the following Federations will participate and this is the
preliminary schedule for the National Afternoons:
Tue July 14 at 13.00-14:00 Czech Republic
Wed July 15 at 13:00-14:00 Germany
Thu July 16 at 13:00-14:00 South Africa
Fri July 17 at 13:00-14:00 Italy
Additional information about ticket sale will be announced later
National Evenings
The FIG GfA-Committee has decided that the following Federations will participate and this is
the preliminary schedule for the National Evening:
Mon July 13 at 18:00-19:30 Switzerland
at 21:00-22:30 Switzerland
Tue July 14 at 18:00-19:30 Portugal & Brazil
at 21:00-22:30 Nordic Countries
Thu July 16 at 18:00-19:30 PAGU (Pan American Gymnastics Union)
at 21:00-22:30 Japan

National Evening of Nordic Countries will be held at Tue July 14, 2015 at 9.00-10.30 pm at the Helsinki
Ice Hall.
WORLD Team
It is possible for gymnasts from all over the world and of all age groups to be part of the Gymnaestrada
World Team and to participate in an international Large Group Programme. Participation is open to all
World Gymnaestrada 2015 participants from all FIG Member Federations. It is possible for a person to
participate in only this programme

Participant card includes:
- Entry to the events of the World Gymnaestrada with the exception of the National Afternoons,
National Evenings and FIG Gala
- Local transportation for the duration of the event
- The official program and Participant guide

CATERING
MORNINGS
Breakfast is included in the accommodation. Breakfast time is from 6:30 to 9:00 at schools (8 basic
breakfasts from Sunday to Sunday). If you are living in a hotel, check the breakfast time when checking-in
your hotel.
MIDDAY
Participants have an opportunity to purchase a lunch-package (7 lunches from Sunday 12th to Saturday
18th). Lunches will be served in the Messukeskus Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre between 11:00 –
15:00. Each day there is a “basic menu” and a “vegetarian menu”.
EVENINGS
In the evenings everyone can purchase something to eat in the World Gymnaestrada Get-together Area
next to the Olympic Stadium.
For those who wish to visit the city, Helsinki is full of restaurants offering flavors from all over the world.

Equipment/Apparatus
Gymnastics apparatuses will be provided free of charge
up to certain limit for Group Performances, National
Afternoons, National Evenings, FIG Gala, City
Performances and Large Group Performances.
All arenas will be equipped with 7 pieces of roll mats (14
x 2 m), all other apparatuses must be ordered
separately. The list of apparatuses that can be ordered
is the following:
- Men's Parallel Bars
- Springboard "Hard"
- Springboard "Soft"
- Vaulting Table (adjustable height to 165 cm
for Team Gym usage)
- Foam Vaulting Table 90 x 75 x 125 cm
- Tumbling track (incl. run-up and landing zone)
- Air track 1200 x 280 cm
- Landing mat 300x200x30 cm
- Landing Mat 300 x 200 x 20 cm
- Magnesium stand
- Large Trampoline with Safety Ends
- Minitramp / Trampette Open-End
- Minitramp TeamGym
- Wooden Boxes

*Participant card costs 245 euros per participant – Obligatory

*School accommodation costs 190 euros per participant, (8 nights including breakfasts).

The accommodation categories for World
Gymnaestrada 2015 are based on room prices (twin
room price per night). Accommodation in categories
A, B and C is in hotels, category D includes also hostel
accommodation.

The hotels in all price categories can be located either in
the city centre of Helsinki or in the neighbouring cities
of Espoo and Vantaa.

7 Days Of Gymnaestrada
Opening Ceremony
A festive and grand opening ceremony, like in the Olympics, starts the week of gymnastics.
Participants march to the Helsinki Olympic Stadium and stay to watch the wonderful ceremony.
The spirit of the event, fun and friendship builds up from the day one.
Group Performances
Groups of 10 or more perform at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre from Monday to
Friday. Group performances reflect the vast variety of the possibilities Gymnastics for All can
offer. The group performances are entertaining and can include participants of all ages.
Large Group Performances
Outdoor performances in a stadium are a crown jewel of Gymnaestrada. From 200 to over 1000
gymnasts build up a fabulous experience for a spectator with their movement.
National Evenings
Evening galas showcase the wide variety of gymnastics from one country. The national evenings
take place in an indoor arena (ice hall) in the evenings. A true show of gymnastics with the lights
etc. helping to create the atmosphere.
FIG Gala
The FIG Gala takes the spectator around the world in less than 2 hours. Performances picked by
FIG create a spectacular show.
Closing Ceremony
On Saturday the 18th July the participants come together to celebrate the end of the
memorable event. The closing ceremony is also a chance to start planning the next event, when
the baton will be given forward to the next host country.
