Title IV Funding regulations a minimum of 15 instructional weeks in the semester are required.
Therefore final exam week must be an educational week for all students - which could include a final
exam/culminating class activity/interaction with the instructor.

Last day to drop full semester classes. "Dropped" classes do not appear on a student's transcript,
and there is no fee or tuition penalty.
Holiday: Labor Day (University closed).
Last day to go online (EKUDirect) and WITHDRAW from a full semester class without
incurring a withdrawal fee. Deadline is midnight on Sunday. "W" grade will appear on student
transcript.
Midterm Grades for undergraduate students in full semester classes - shall be submitted
by instructors into EKUDirect (Banner). Grades are based on the first 7 weeks of class work. Submit
grades no later than 1pm on the first business day of the 8th week. ( Per faculty senate, midterm
grades are required for all undergraduate students.)
Holiday: Fall Break (Columbus Day + following Tuesday) - University closed.
Last day to WITHDRAW from the University. Last day to withdraw from a course(s). A $50/cr.hr
fee ( to a max of $150/class) will be assessed. Withdraw is done online (EKUDirect); deadline is
midnight on Sunday. "W" grade will appear on student transcript. There is no withdrawal fee if
student is withdrawing completely and leaving the University. See www.registrar.eku.edu for details.
Holiday: Thanksgiving Break. Evening classes will meet on Tue before. Holiday begins at 9:00pm,
Tues., for students and faculty. (University closed Thursday and Friday).
Classes resume.
Final exam week: all in-person, and web blended classes with regularly scheduled meeting
