Baseball WA and the Alcohol.Think Again Perth
HEAT will be holding the 2015 Summer School
Holiday tee-ball and baseball camps from 12-15
January (Carine open Space) and 26-29 January
(Barbagallo Ballpark, Thornlie), from 9am-1pm.
The camps are designed to promote a fun, safe,
and healthy atmosphere where comprehensive
instruction on the fundamentals are taught to all
campers. Campers will receive the best instruction
available in the country.
Camps will be run by Baseball WA and Alcohol.
Think Again Perth Heat High Performance and
Development Manager Steve Fish as well as
Little League Development and Participation
Manager Glen Tovey. Perth HEAT Players and
USA imports will also be assisting. All campers
will receive professional instruction on batting,
and defense with plenty of opportunity to practice
skills in game situations.

A former professional baseball
player and coach from the US,
Steve spent 5 seasons with the
LA Angels and was also their minor league player
of the year in 1998. Steve played two stints for the
Wanneroo Giants in 2003 and 2008 where he was
named Baseball WA’s fairest and best both years.
He returned to WA for the 2007-08 season and is
now the Smarter Than Smoking High Performance
and Development Manager for Baseball WA and
Manager of the Alcohol.Think Again Perth HEAT.
He helped guide the Perth HEAT and the State
Schoolboys to National Championship titles, and the
Wanneroo Giants to Grand Final wins in 2009 and
2011. Steve previously coached high school and
college baseball in the US.

John van Emmerloot
Tee-Ball Camp Coordinator
John began coaching in 1989
becoming a TBAWA ‘A’ Level
Coach in 1990. He attained
Level 1 Ministry of Sport &
Rec Accreditation 1991. He is
currently Chief Coach of TBAWA and is Coach of
the Super Squad. John has been involved with the
International Sporting & Cultural Exchange since
1996 and became Deputy Chairman 2000. Players
are selected from various metro area clubs to play
Pitchball (a version of Baseball) in Japan on a bi
annual basis, in Australia on alternate years.
