REFUND POLICY & TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKING
PROCEDURE: QA-R-05
PURPOSE
Infront Staffing Pty Ltd is committed to ensuring fair and equitable policies and procedures are in place regarding payment of any monies
collected by the organisation. Infront Staffing is bound by and accepts the responsibility of Commonwealth and State Legislation governing
the operations of the organisation including the refund of student fees. This document also outlines the terms and conditions relating to
training bookings.
SCOPE
The purpose of the refund procedure is to ensure parties are aware of the process for refunds of student fees where applicable.
Furthermore the terms and conditions listed outline relevant policies in place within the organisation which relate to courses bookings.
REFUND OF TUITION MONEY
Tuition money is the tuition fee or student contribution amount paid for a unit of study. Students may find it necessary to withdraw from a
subject or course before attendance of the course. The amount of refund to which the student is entitled will be determined based on
time of notice of cancellation and/or reason for cancellation.
In most cases the following will apply:
1.
A full refund of fees will be paid minus an administration fee of $30.00 to those students withdrawing from their booked course giving
two (2) or more business days notice from the course date booked.
2.
Students wishing to withdraw from their booked course inside two (2) business days from the course date booked will forfeit all
monies paid to Infront Staffing.
3.
Students wishing to re-schedule their booked course giving two (2) or more business days notice from the course date booked will be
offered one (1) free transfer to the next available course. Additional transfers will incur a $30 administration fee.
4.
Students wishing to re-schedule their booked course inside two (2) business days from the course date booked will be required to pay
an additional 50% of the original course price to attend another course date (original course fees will also be retained).
5.
For training bookings to be carried out offsite at alternative premises to Infront Staffings training facilities, cancellations will incur a
50% cancellation fee if cancelled within seven (7) days of the course date. Full fees will apply to cancellations within 24 hours of the
course date.
6.
Students that fail to meet the training courses assessment criteria (i.e. not being deemed competent at the conclusion of an
assessment) will be offered one (1) free transfer to the next available course - within fourteen (14) days. Consecutive examination
failures will result in Infront Staffing retaining all paid fees and full rebooking fees apply to attend another course date. Please note
that in the case of Forklift Training & Assessment, this clause does not apply and additional Assessment costs will apply. If a
participant does not feel confident prior to Forklift Assessment at the completion of training, they should advise the trainer at which
point additional time on the Forklift will be provided/allowed for and the assessment can be delayed.
7.
Failure to attend a booked training course will result in all fees being retained by Infront Staffing.
8.
Students arriving more than ten (10) minutes late from the advised course start time or from a break will not be admitted into the
course and all paid fees will be retained by Infront Staffing.
9.
Participants arriving with insufficient identification will be refused entry to the course. In this instance full fees will be retained and
50% of original course fee will be applied to rebook another course date.
10. Inappropriate or unsatisfactory behaviour during a training course will not be tolerated. Such behavior may result in the student being
excluded from the training course. In this instance all paid monies will be retained by Infront Staffing. (Examples of such behavior
includes but is not limited to continuous disruption to the class, damage to Infront property, aggressive behaviour).
11. Infront Staffing reserves the right to amend course dates should insufficient numbers book into a particular course. If this occurs,
students have the right to accept or decline the alternative dates offered. A full refund of fees will be provided to any student not
wishing to attend on an alternative date.
12. Organisations on an invoice agreement with Infront Staffing will also be bound by this refund policy. If in the event that the
employee, member, client or student does not arrive for a course without sufficient notice as outlined within this policy the full
invoice amount will be required to be paid to Infront Staffing.

13. Where withdrawal from a course is due to special circumstances beyond the student’s control, an alternative training date will be
granted at no cost, but is subject to the discretion of the Company Director of Infront Staffing. Special circumstances are
circumstances which in the view of Infront Staffing:
- Are beyond the student’s control if a situation occurs which a reasonable person would consider is not due to the student’s
action or inaction, either direct or indirect and for which the student is not responsible.
- Special circumstances that would make it impracticable for the student to complete the requirements for the unit of study would
include medical circumstances, family circumstances or personal circumstances. Infront Staffing may ask the affected student for
documented evidence outlining their circumstances (ie medical certificate, insurance documents verifying an accident etc).
APPLYING FOR A REFUND OF TUITION MONEY
Withdrawal or cancellation before the commencement of a course
Students should advise Infront Staffing immediately after they become aware that the course date booked is no longer practical. Any fees
which are to be refunded will be determined by the guidelines noted above. Approval for refund of fees must be authorised by the
Company Director or Training Manager.
Refund where the Company fails to provide a unit of study
Infront Staffing will refund tuition money paid for a unit of study which the company (i) fails to provide, or (ii) fails to commence on the
agreed starting day (or a later day agreed between the company and the student), or (iii) stops providing before it is completed. Infront
Staffing will refund the tuition money paid within seven (7) days.
Review of a refund decision
Students who are dissatisfied with a refund decision may apply in writing to the Company Director for a review of the decision, stating the
reasons why a review is requested. The time limit for applying for a review of decision is seven (7) days from the student’s receiving notice
of the original decision. Within seven (7) days of receiving the review application, the Company Director will notify the student of the
review decision and the reasons for making it. A student who is dissatisfied with the outcome of a review by the Company Director may
appeal for a review of the decision to the Department of Fair Trading NSW or other forum external to Infront Staffing.
